Thomas, I swear normally I would see it every night I could, but the girls were just not cooperating on this one. I know I'm going back (in May and in September next year), so I just let it go.

But I thought it was funny, especially since you wrote in your trip report "Who leaves before Illuminations?"

When I put that I was thinking more of peopple who leave at 8:00 at night.

however... leave BEFORE illuminations??? gee , no matter how crabby you all get with each other during the day, you can't help but snuggling up all misty eyed during that show.
ps. berwyn always makes me think of svengoolie. or are you too young to remember that?
Sadly, I am NOT too young to remember the Son of Svengoolie. I even remember him coming home to Berwyn to ride in the Houby Day parade one year when I was a child.

HOUBY = mushroom. For those of you who wondered. Every year our town has a "Mushroom" parade. I guess it made sense 30 years ago when this was a Bohemian town, but now that's it's mostly Hispanic, it's a little weird... My mom took me to it every year growing up, I even walked it a bunch of times for gymnastics. WHY am I talking about this?????

NO MORE POSTS BEFORE COFFEE!!!

Without giving up too much of the rest of this report, what are you gonna think of someone who leaves at 8:40?

Jamie,
I wandered over here to read your trip report from Mouseforless. I love, love, love it. As I have boys (12 & 16) I like to live vicariously thru those with Disney-loving girls. I will have to see if I can kidnap my goddaughters (triplet girls, age 15) and take them to Disney. :cool1:

Pam, forget the teenagers - kidnap ME! We'll have a blast!

Jaime great trip report as always- I usually read them on TMFL but I like it with all the pictures- can't wait to hear more about your adventures. It gives me hope that my kids will still want to travel with me when they're teenagers :thumbsup2

Thank you so much! But I find the real question is, "Will YOU want to travel with THEM when they're teenagers???" :happytv:

Jaime, love your trip reports!!! I"m too busy laughing right now. :rotfl2:
Keep them coming along. Love all your pictures you posted. They are great. Looks like you all had a wonderful time.

Ha- good point. After our last trip DH already wants to travel without them! And they're 5, 2 and 2 (twins). He wants to know when the adults only trip will be. The kids just don't appreciate the finer things in life yet. Who wants a Fiesta Margarita when there's a fountain to play in? Hmmmm..... this makes me think- why doesn't Disney put in a bar next to the fountains? Parents would happily stand there all afternoon while their kids played away. ;)

:rotfl2: Oh, so many jokes going through my head....

must.... not... go.... there...

don't want to upset anyone.....

AND... I'm letting it go! Whew!!!! Didn't think I could! That was close!

PM me if you MUST know!

Where did we sit??? Yes. THAT was the burning question I left you with… Couldn’t sleep, could ya? I know. Bwaa-haa-haa!!! :lmao:

We started to head outside, then Meg started to whine (ducks and heat), I stopped walking, Ashley started to whine (too cold)… tough. There’s a table right inside the back door of Casey’s (next to the TV, so we couldn’t actually see the cartoons). Ashley was not happy. I repeat: tough.

We sit down, we start to eat, in walk 2 ducks. Come on, you gotta love the irony!!!!!!!!!!!!! :rotfl2:

A CM shoos them out. Another duck walks in. A CM shoos it out also. 2 more ducks (this is starting to sound like a “bar” joke! :rotfl: ) walk in, there’s no cast members in sight. Meg now takes it upon herself to be the Chief Bottle-Washer, errr, I mean Chief Duck-Shooer.

Irony. Irony everywhere. :Pinkbounc

Time to change sides! Ashley and I start feeding the ducks. Man, Meg got mad!!! :furious:

We’re throwing food (FREE fries flying!) so we’re obviously done eating (we’re not 2 year olds, ya know! We don’t throw food until we’re through with it.)

We need a plan and I have to pee. What rhymes with pee? Mickey! Here’s the plan: well, pee first. Then, walk through the Emporium (thus playing the SHOPPING card), get on the Train (thus playing the RIDE card), and get off at ToonTown to visit Mickey (thus playing the CHARACTER card)! It’s perfect, it’s brilliant! Everyone is fed, (emptied!), and happy!

Make a note – this level of perfection may never happen again! EVER!!! :lovestruc

Oh, wait! But it does!!! We do all of the above, but when we get off the train in ToonTown, we spot……….

Oh, yeah, you’re waiting for this one!!! :hourglass

Wait for it…….. :hourglass

Wait for it………. :hourglass

Cruella DeVille!!!!!!!!!!

347%3B8%3A339%7Ffp5%3Enu%3D3235%3E588%3E%3A%3A%3B%3EWSNRCG%3D32325%3A%3C644369nu0mrj

Even Ashley knows THIS is a big deal! Except… well, she was smiling and NICE… that’s not right!

We leave the strangely euphoric Cruella and head over to the Head Cheese’s house! It was so nice to be in there and not have a bunch of people around! Back through his garden and into the Judge’s Tent we go.
347%3B%3A32%3A6%7Ffp6%3Enu%3D3235%3E588%3E%3A%3A%3B%3EWSNRCG%3D32325%3A%3C57%3B4%3B9nu0mrj

Then through Minnie’s house and into the line for Mickey’s Friends. Who do we get?

Daisy
347%3B%3A32%3A6%7Ffp3%3Enu%3D3232%3E4%3B%3B%3E637%3E23234%3B%3B7286%3A8ot1lsi

Hey! Just noticed Daisy and I have the same shoes!

Pluto
347%3B%3A32%3A6%7Ffp5%3Enu%3D3235%3E588%3E%3A%3A%3B%3EWSNRCG%3D32325%3A%3C57%3B465nu0mrj

Goofy.
347%3B%3A32%3A6%7Ffp6%3Enu%3D3235%3E588%3E%3A%3A%3B%3EWSNRCG%3D32325%3A%3C57%3B448nu0mrj

The girls said I was flirting with Goofy – when I said “goodbye, Goofy”. I wasn’t flirting, it just came out in a lower tone than normal… I swear! WHO flirts with GOOFY????? :confused3

We loop around the line and this time see:

Minnie
347%3B%3A32%3A6%7Ffp5%3Enu%3D3232%3E4%3B%3B%3E637%3E23234%3B%3B72869%3Aot1lsi

Chip & Dale.
347%3B%3A32%3A6%7Ffp4%3Enu%3D3235%3E588%3E%3A%3A%3B%3EWSNRCG%3D32325%3A%3C5788%3A%3Anu0mrj

No wonder that line moves so fast – Chip and Dale see us together!

Walk on Goofy’s Barnstormer
347%3B%3A32%3A6%7Ffp4%3Enu%3D3235%3E588%3E%3A%3A%3B%3EWSNRCG%3D32325%3A%3C644458nu0mrj

347%3B%3A32%3A6%7Ffp4%3Enu%3D3235%3E588%3E%3A%3A%3B%3EWSNRCG%3D32325%3A%3C64436%3Bnu0mrj

and let’s head over to Tomorrowland! Can’t even remember HOW we got over there! Disney magic, I guess!

347%3B%3A32%3A6%7Ffp3%3Enu%3D3235%3E588%3E%3A%3A%3B%3EWSNRCG%3D32325%3A%3C644373nu0mrj

Captain Jack is a bad Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger – he got NO SCORE! Hit nothing!

We come out of Buzz and I almost TRIP over Stitch! OK, maybe not, but he was standing by the Galaxy Theater all alone! I yell, “Meg! Stitch!” And she FLIES over to him!!!
347%3B%3A32%3A6%7Ffp3%3Enu%3D3235%3E588%3E%3A%3A%3B%3EWSNRCG%3D32325%3A%3C64445%3Anu0mrj

Time to embarrass her again- I told her to talk to Stitch. Meg does a FANTASTIC Stitch impression! She can get me agree to almost anything she wants by having Stitch ask for it.
347%3B%3A32%3A6%7Ffp5%3Enu%3D3235%3E588%3E%3A%3A%3B%3EWSNRCG%3D32325%3A%3C644459nu0mrj

It took a little coaxing from both Stitch and me, but she finally did it. Bebe-nana-christa! (I know that’s spelled wrong! But it’s pronounced just like that reads! I think….)

Boy, that is the biggest smile I have seen on her face the whole trip! Obviously she loves Stitch and loved meeting him (is Stitch a him????)

Great TR! Really enjoying it!

Also fellow MFLer....

Whoo-Hoo! Another MFLer! Thanks for coming over (and, no, NOT to the dark side!)

On to the TTA – gotta love a ride where you get to SIT for so long!
347%3B%3A7892%7Ffp6%3Enu%3D3235%3E588%3E%3A%3A%3B%3EWSNRCG%3D32325%3A%3C644376nu0mrj

This ride always cracks me up concerning Meg for 2 reasons: 1.) She used to cry on it! And 2.) Whenever I say, “Let’s go ride the TTA.” Meg responds with, “What?” So I say, “The Tomorrowland Transit Authority.” And Meg says, “What?” So I finally go, “The People Mover!” And Meg says, “Oh, ok.” The part of that I don’t get is that I don’t think she’s old enough to CALL it the People Mover… is she? :confused3

Carousel of Progress (speaking of sitting for a nice long time!). Space Mountain, maybe… can’t remember...

How about dinner before somebody gets cranky? ;) Neither Meg nor I are too excited about Cosmic Ray’s. I know WE were the ones who made the plans, but I think that allows us to change them.. willy-nilly… helter-skelter… whenever we want! :teeth:

I suggest Columbia Harbour House, adding that’s where Rhonda likes the tuna sandwich, and Meg’s hooked. (HA!!! Tuna… hooked…I’m too funny! :happytv: )

Check out the storm rolling in!
347%3B%3A7892%7Ffp3%3Enu%3D3235%3E588%3E%3A%3A%3B%3EWSNRCG%3D32325%3A%3C644463nu0mrj

347%3B%3A7892%7Ffp3%3Enu%3D3235%3E588%3E%3A%3A%3B%3EWSNRCG%3D32325%3A%3C644379nu0mrj

Meg got the tuna sandwich – without tomato according to my receipt – that comes with chips, I got the chicken/fish combo (went with free fries this time, didn’t try to press my luck for carrots and free, free fries), Ashley got the chicken & fries. 2 bottles of water and an apple juice (Meg). 3 “dessert of the month”. Hmmm… that’s an interesting phrase (off the receipt)… CHH used to have the BEST apple pie! We had that September, 2005. In May, 2006, we were given little pre-packaged chocolate cake, which look just like the peanut butter mousse cups you get at Pecos Bill’s… the chocolate ones from CHH are edible. The Pecos Bill’s ones are NOT!

This trip, it’s still chocolate cake, but I’m curious about the wording to see if there will be any changes in the menu…

After we all placed our orders, it was time for the “one of you get a table, the other carries drinks” speech. Meg took mercy on me and went to grab a table. Which, seeing as it’s 4:30, was not a problem. Dinner would have been $36.31.

After dinner, I lead us over to Adventureland again. We get in line for Jasmine, Aladdin, and Genie pictures.

Jamie thanks so much for posting the link on MFL! I am loving your trip report! You are a great writer!

Thank you so much! I'm having a blast reliving all of this trip! I wish I had another installment ready to go, but I don't. And Meg has given me her cold or whatever this is - sore throat, fever, chills, ickyness...

So, I'm off to take a couple Tylenol PMs and climb into bed with Jeff Probst... I mean, watch Survivor! (Don'tcha just loves when it rains on the island and we get to watch Wet Jeff???... Hmmm, maybe I'm not as sick as I think!) :rolleyes1
