Jaime on Vacation! (9/2/06 - 9/10/06) COMPLETED: Page 14, Post #210

Jamie - feel better soon!! I look forward to your next installment when you feel up to it. I am loving the report and the pics of all you girls LOL!!!

Wow, nothing like those Tylenol PMs (or was it Jeff Probst?) to make you feel better the next day! Hopefully, I've shaken this bug, we'll see in a few hours!
So, where was I?

Oh, yeah, thanks.

The pictures with Jasmine, Aladdin, and Genie happened at 5:00pm. The next picture I have is time-stamped 8:32pm. And no receipts either. So blur, blur, blur, pretty sure we did a bunch of rides! And we end up on the Jungle Cruise…

347%3B%3A7892%7Ffp5%3Enu%3D3235%3E588%3E%3A%3A%3B%3EWSNRCG%3D32325%3A%3C644468nu0mrj

Brendan was the best Jungle Cruise skipper EVER!!! He had us in hysterics! (but I can only speak for MY group, I couldn’t see the rest of the boat through the tears.)

It’s time to find a spot for Wishes! (I bet you thought this day would never end – yeah, me either!) I like to be on the bridge in front of the castle, between Main Street and the popcorn stands. So that’s where I head. It’s still not crowded, the entire STREET is wide open, people are only lining up on the sidewalks! The last time I was there with Meg, we grabbed ice cream after the fireworks. This time, Ashley wants candy before the fireworks, so Meg says they’d go grab the ice cream at the same time.

Off they go, I’ll be right here leaning on this garbage can (where else but Disney would you do that?) and as I’m standing there, the couple that had the curb space next to the can get up and leave! Well, I’ve never moved faster! I gotta stand for the fireworks, last thing I want to do is stand for an additional 20 minutes!

The girls come back with 3 ice creams (what happened to the candy?), I had a hot fudge sundae in a waffle cup and so did someone else. The 3rd item was 1 scoop of mint chocolate chip and one scoop of butter pecan… concentrated on mine, no idea who else ate what… (they paid cash - $12.07).

By the time Wishes starts, the ice cream is but a distant memory anyway…

And the castle BLEW UP and we all went home. The End. :rotfl:

After the fireworks, there are 2 games Disney offers:

1.) Stampede. You pretend to be a herd of cattle as you head for the gate. Obstacles: snake bites (getting “bit” in the back of the leg by a stroller) and listening to everyone around you being “so clever” to “moo”. (yeah, that was probably me you heard…)
2.) Salmon. You “swim” upstream to the back of the Partners statue and wait out the crowds in relative comfort whilst (HA!) watching the castle change color and watching the crowds. Obstacles: having to be social and take people’s pictures if they ask and leaving too soon so that you’re still stuck in a line.

We go the “salmon” route. Usually. Because I stood all through Wishes and my feet are killing me! I always wonder if I could sit there long enough for them to have to ask me to leave, but my ADD usually catches up with me and I wander back to the hotel.

So, we sit for awhile. Take a few pictures that came out horribly.
347%3B%3B6552%7Ffp6%3Enu%3D3235%3E588%3E%3A%3A%3B%3EWSNRCG%3D32325%3A%3C64448%3Bnu0mrj

We get to see the good night kiss. Ashley asks if she can still buy candy. Well, that answered that question, didn’t it?

Yes, go buy candy. I’m going (wanna guess?) to the bathroom and I’ll meet you in the candy store. As I get back to the kids, I realize that – WORST PART OF THE DAY – I left behind my The Mouse for Less water bottle holder at the Partners Statue! I went back, it had to be about 5 minutes total, but it was gone… I was really bummed about that.

I head back to the candy store where the girls are still not done (what? Still??? Are you MAKING the candy???) and tell the girls to hurry it up. Then I realize I’m thirsty. I grab a Coke and head to an open register (was that so hard???). I think it’s funny (but then again I’m easily amused!) that my receipt for the Coke and Meg’s receipt for gummy bears, laffy taffy, and a cookie are time-stamped at the same time – 9:49pm.

Over to the bus stop – 1½ rows of people, back to the room. Day over!

HIGHS: lack of crowds, Jungle Cruise skipper Brendan, getting to see Pirates for the 1st time since they added Jack Sparrow
LOWS: before lunch crankiness, nothing else really – really great and magical day
MILES WALKED: 12.49 – Holy Cow!!!

WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 6TH, 2006

PLANS: Day Off from the parks, swim, mini golf, surrey bike (I will NEVER learn!!!), water bikes @ OKW?, DTD shopping in the AM – sure doesn’t sound like a very relaxing “Day Off”

BREAKFAST: in the room
LUNCH: Earl of Sandwich & Ghirardelli’s ($$$) Are we going to WANT ice cream???
DINNER: Narcoossee’s @ 8:00p (TS5&6)

REALITY: I Just went over the receipts and pictures I have for this day – this might be a short one…

I let the girls sleep in – we were on the bus to Downtown Disney at 9:17. :happytv: They were thrilled. Not.
347%3C276%3A6%7Ffp6%3Enu%3D3235%3E588%3E%3A%3A%3B%3EWSNRCG%3D32325%3A%3C644493nu0mrj

Jack was excited, but wouldn’t sit up in his seat!

We hit one of our favorite stores first – the Everything’s $10 or Less store! I can not resist getting one of those Surprise Bags for $6.99! This time I got a Castle antenna topper, a window cling, a notebook, a magnet, and something else… maybe it’ll come to me later! It was a great haul! Meg bought a Pirates of the Caribbean beanie (that’s a skull cap for those of you from the 90s and a knit cap for those of you from the 80s).

I remember wandering through the Once Upon a Toy Store and actually making it to the very back of the store for the first time! Downtown Disney is GREAT at opening on a weekday! Tell me again - WHY do we always hit it at night??? :confused3

In the World of Disney there is a lot to be purchased! Ashley comes through on her promise to buy us each a gift – I tell her once again that she doesn’t have to and then hand her the T-shirt I want. It’s black and says “Disney”, but the letters are Pirate-shaped! Too cool! Meg picks a pirate purse (that rings up as a “booty” bag :happytv: and was – surprise! - on sale)! I also started to collect items for Rhonda’s birthday present. Have I covered this yet??? :confused3

Rhonda’s Birthday: Rhonda’s birthday was Aug.16, 19-something very small. I made her a card, with a poem: This is your card, I made it myself, It’s pretty enough To sit on a shelf. Something – something – something... If she ever gets home from Disney she can tell us what it said!

Anyway, it said that when she checked into “home” (Pop Century) her gift would be waiting. We were leaving Pop on the 10th and Rhonda was checking in on the 13th. I figured it would be easier to shop for Rhonda in Disney and I thought it’d be cool to have something waiting for her at the resort! :wizard:

I told the woman who rang us up in DTD what I was doing and if she could throw in a box (I was having everything shipped back to Pop). She thought it was a great idea and gave me a nice, big, red box! It was perfect. I got her a Jack Sparrow beach towel and 2 pins here – the pirate Mickey ears and the Jack Sparrow portrait. And I managed to get a few items for myself, too! Meg and Ashley also managed quite a little haul for themselves! pirate:

We went to the hair wrap stand, seeing as this was something Meg really wanted to do, so I told her I’d pay half. They were closed until 12. What does my family do when confronted by a delay? That’s right, we ate! popcorn::

After checking out the menu at Cap’n Jack’s, over to Earl of Sandwich we trekked (yeah, all 200 feet!). Meg went tuna melt with no cheese, Ashley went with the chicken Caesar salad (show of hands, did anyone NOT see that coming???), and I was torn between two lovers, err… I mean sandwiches. I went with the beef and bleu, but I was thinking about the meatballs the entire time. Honest. The beef meant nothing to me. I want to be with the meatballs.

The receipt is time-stamped 12:01. I think I proved that it’s called “lunchtime” for a reason… :rotfl2:

And back to the hair wrapping station. There’s a girl in the chair and a little girl with LONG hair waiting. Arg. Meg signs in and I sit on a brick ledge. Wow, watching someone get their hair wrapped is boring! :hourglass Now try watching 3 people get it done! :hourglass :hourglass :hourglass I waited until Meg was in the chair and then headed over to the Pin Traders. I end up with a Happy Birthday pin for Rhonda and 3 pins for me.

I get back and Meg’s almost done. I had set aside $15 for my half of the hair wrap, and that brat spent $15 on a hair wrap! Somehow I ended up paying for the whole thing!

Jamie, doing a great job. Can't believe you're almost finished with yours when I'm still on the May trip. :cheer2:

From DTD, we are heading over to Fantasia Gardens to mini golf. I know, I know, we could have gone to Winter/Summer Land where there’s actually SHADE! We could have found a water activity, an indoor activity, or we could have just taken naps. But, noooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!! We head for the shady-less space Disney has to offer!

In May, 2004, Meg, her sister, and I golfed here. We had a blast! The video tape Meg took was hysterical! I think Meg and I were trying to recapture that moment. I was smarter this time in that I made sure not to PAY for Meg – she played 2 holes last time and quit to just film Steph and I… but the whole experience wasn’t as fun. We kept telling Ashley what happened here last time and what happened here… I haven’t watched the tape yet, but I bet it’s pretty boring.

We had rented a locker ($2) when we got to the golf course – and I thought this was really smart (of Disney, not me): When I went to return the key, I was asked if I wanted the $2 or a bottle of water or soda from the case. I took the water! :teeth:

After golfing (I barely beat Ashley!), we walked over to the Swan (because I haven’t stood in the sun long enough!) and collapsed on a couple of their sofas. About 15 minutes,
347%3C276%3A6%7Ffp3%3Enu%3D3235%3E588%3E%3A%3A%3B%3EWSNRCG%3D32325%3A%3C644437nu0mrj

and one picture of the cool chandelier, later, we’re ready to head for the bus.

And this brings us to the reason I like Pop Century so much: 30 minutes later, we are on the Swan’s bus, having stopped at the Dolphin, the Boardwalk, the Beach Club, the Yacht Club and are sitting at a light OUTSIDE FANTASIA GARDENS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We got nowhere in 30 minutes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Blur, blur, blur (I think there was another Mommy/Meggie nap)… we all get ready for DINNER. Not just ANY dinner – SIGNATURE RESTAURANT DINNER!

We’re going to Narcoossee’s! That’s fun to type! We get dressed up! And, at some point I must have picked up the package from yesterday’s Nor-vay extravaganza, because Meg & I get to use Laila and I switch over to the Laila purse/bag I bought!

I manage to get the girls to the bus stop a little early – and it’s a good thing I did, because just as a bus pulls into sight, it starts to rain. The 3 of us huddle under a poncho for a few seconds until we can board. As soon as we’re on the bus, the sky lets go and it’s pouring!

We get to the Magic Kingdom and the ground is totally dry! But it’s coming this way – our bus was just faster, I guess! We head over to the monorail and ask for the front. Whoo-hoo! It’s open!

Not only do we get the front, but we are given Co-Pilot Licenses and Pilot Wing stickers! THAT’s never happened! Ashley put her wings on right away, but Meg and I both tucked ours into our wallets! “Belle-in-a-ball-gown!”
347%3C276%3A6%7Ffp6%3Enu%3D3235%3E588%3E%3A%3A%3B%3EWSNRCG%3D32325%3A%3C644439nu0mrj

347%3C276%3A6%7Ffp6%3Enu%3D3235%3E588%3E%3A%3A%3B%3EWSNRCG%3D32325%3A%3C64443%3Bnu0mrj

It starts to drizzle as we make our way to Narcoossee’s.
347%3C276%3A6%7Ffp3%3Enu%3D3235%3E588%3E%3A%3A%3B%3EWSNRCG%3D32325%3A%3C6444%3A3nu0mrj

We check in and the girls immediately are staring daggers at me… see, I forced them to abide by the dress code – they each had on nice outfits and nice shoes. The woman who checked in in front of us was wearing flip flops.

Yeah, you stink. :happytv: Stop reading mine and write yours!!! Jeez! :rotfl2:

We are seated pretty quick – and had been greeted very warmly, I might add. Of course, Meg’s birthday was on all the ADRs, but Narcoossee’s had taken it a step further. Our menu was specially printed for our table with “Happy 16th Birthday, Meghan” printed on top! You had to see Meg’s face – she kept trying to see other table’s menus to see if they said the same thing, but of course they didn’t. She was in shock.

Now, the idea of going to the signature restaurant was really Meg’s – she wanted to eat someplace really expensive (WHAT??? Disney doesn’t charge enough for guacamole for you??? :confused3 )

Meg loves crab legs. Her favorite restaurant is Joe’s Crab Shack. Meg looks at Narcoossee’s menu and decides she’s getting the lobster ($54!!!). This was months before the trip. She’s never had lobster, so I tell her what everyone (don’t ask me who “everyone” is, I don’t ask you to verify YOUR sources!) says, “It’s like crab, only sweeter.” No. I have no idea what that means. Crab tastes like crab. Lobster tastes like lobster. Actually, that’s not true either. But I’m getting to that part.

Let’s backtrack to the appetizers… wait, let’s backtrack to the look on Ashley’s face while she’s looking at the menu. :rotfl2: I’m sorry. I really wish I had taken a picture. But trust me – priceless. The waiter comes over and I ask for a children’s menu. Happy face now! :cloud9:

Back (forward?) to the appetizers – Meg had the crab cakes. Narcoossee’s bakes theirs, I think Meg would really like the fried ones better. But she ate them. I took a bite, eh. I had the seafood chowder, based on the waiter’s recommendation. Not bad. Ashley had the Mickey macaroni chicken soup.

For our entrees, Meg got the 2 pound Maine lobster!
347%3C276%3A6%7Ffp3%3Enu%3D3235%3E588%3E%3A%3A%3B%3EWSNRCG%3D32325%3A%3C645444nu0mrj

I went with the surf and turf, which was a Caribbean lobster tail. This is what I meant by “lobster tastes like lobster” being wrong. My lobster and her lobster tasted nothing alike! Well, I didn’t know! How often do I order lobster???

Although, I know I like snow crab better than King crab…. But I thought that was because it’s easier to get to… (shell’s a lot softer)

Ashley had the macaroni and cheese. I tasted it when she was done – bland. But she said she liked it.

For dessert, Ashley got the kids’ brownie sundae, I had the key lime crème brulee, and Meg had something listed on my receipt as “chocolate dessert”.

Now, anyone who has read my reports (yes, all 2, oh, sorry, forgot Rhonda, 3 of you) know of my affinity for crème brulee. :lovestruc Narcoossee’s key lime crème brulee was…..

Wait for it………..

Wait for it…………

AWFUL! Yup, I finally met a crème brulee I didn’t like… oh, wait, the Land pavilion’s was really bad, too… but BETTER THAN NARCOOSSEE’S!

The bill would have been $198.67. I will never spend money here, nor will I waste dining credits. Thank heavens it was free!

To top it all off, I’m waiting and waiting for the bill, and Wishes starts! I tell the girls to go on out to watch, I’ll be there as soon as I settle the bill… it took the whole fireworks show to get the bill, put my card in, have it picked up again, and returned for me to sign it! And I had my card out and on the table when dessert was still being eaten!

And we cab it back to Pop again!

HIGHS: it was an okay kind of day. I was glad to get started on Rhonda’s birthday present. My nap was nice. Oh! Riding in the front of the monorail!

LOWS: nothing really – except dinner. Narcoossee’s did not live up to expectations. Golf was boring, but not bad.

MILES WALKED: 5.02

THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 7TH, 2006

PLANS: Monorail ride, EPCOT

BREAKFAST: O’Hana’s @ 8:00a (TS7)
LUNCH: Boardwalk Kiosk ($$$)
DINNER: Liberty Inn (CS10,11,12)

REALITY: THIS IS MY FAVORITE DAY OF THE TRIP!!! Just a little spoiler for you!

I start the day as usual – going to the food court for a cup of coffee. Did you note what time breakfast is? We have to be over at the Polynesian by 8AM for breakfast at O’Hana’s! I’m nuts! And so is Meg, because she helped make our plans! But Stitch is her favorite character.

I greeted the day with smiles – the day greeted me with stars! This was the earliest day I was up and out of the room for coffee! 6:22 is the time-stamp on the first picture of the morning – and I forgot to ask the sun to get in the frame!
347%3C4%3A775%7Ffp3%3Enu%3D3235%3E588%3E%3A%3A%3B%3EWSNRCG%3D32325%3A%3C645447nu0mrj

347%3C4%3A775%7Ffp6%3Enu%3D3235%3E588%3E%3A%3A%3B%3EWSNRCG%3D32325%3A%3C645448nu0mrj

I thought we’d never manage this one – a bus ride and a monorail ride BEFORE 8AM! But I had those kids up and on the MONORAIL by 7:47!

347%3C4%3A775%7Ffp6%3Enu%3D3235%3E588%3E%3A%3A%3B%3EWSNRCG%3D32325%3A%3C6444%3A7nu0mrj

Hey! We’re running a little early, let’s get off at the TTC and walk through the Polynesian grounds! (Yeah, I’m not so brilliant before 8AM!) We were still on time, and we got to walk through a beautiful resort.

Check in was very quick, but rough because Pluto was out and running around, so I was very distracted! We got our beeper and I was free to play with the doggie.
347%3C4%3A775%7Ffp5%3Enu%3D3235%3E588%3E%3A%3A%3B%3EWSNRCG%3D32325%3A%3C645454nu0mrj

He got in trouble with a cast member at one point.
347%3C4%3A775%7Ffp6%3Enu%3D3235%3E588%3E%3A%3A%3B%3EWSNRCG%3D32325%3A%3C645456nu0mrj

Then laid down on this couch, and it was too late to snap the picture, but he sat up on the bench and was riding it like it was a horse!
347%3C4%3A775%7Ffp3%3Enu%3D3235%3E588%3E%3A%3A%3B%3EWSNRCG%3D32325%3A%3C645473nu0mrj

We had our pictures taken – one shot of the 3 of us and one of the girls (I only bought the one of the 3 of us). And our name was called. They presented Meg with a certificate for her birthday, which all the characters signed as they came around.
347%3C4%3A775%7Ffp3%3Enu%3D3235%3E588%3E%3A%3A%3B%3EWSNRCG%3D32325%3A%3C6444%3A%3Anu0mrj

(I'll try to lighten that one up later tonight!)

The waitress came over, gave us juice and coffee, and said on the dining plan we each get a cappuccino. Meg was thrilled, and since it was FREE, AND I could still get coffee AND juice, I got one too! Ashley didn’t want one. And the waitress said, “Well, your table gets 3, so if any of you want the 3rd, just let me know.” Wow. Interesting… Because I don’t hit every bathroom in Disney as it is!

Breakfast was really good! The potatoes were different from Norway – they were cut in wedges. Still good, but not as good as Norway. The mini Mickey waffles were excellent, Ashley couldn’t get enough of them and ordered more! I even took a 2nd.

The waitress also told us at the beginning, “The characters come around about once an hour, so try to be here when they come around.” It was so early, and the crowds so light, we got 3 rounds of character visits!
347%3C4%3A775%7Ffp5%3Enu%3D3235%3E588%3E%3A%3A%3B%3EWSNRCG%3D32325%3A%3C6444%3A%3Bnu0mrj

One of the times Pluto came by, he was flirting with Ashley. Ashley tells him she has a boyfriend, but then tells Pluto that she likes him (Pluto) better!
347%3C4%3A775%7Ffp4%3Enu%3D3235%3E588%3E%3A%3A%3B%3EWSNRCG%3D32325%3A%3C644524nu0mrj

Pluto jumps for joy! It was so cute! The rest of the time Pluto’s around us, he’s falling all over Ashley.

He even came flying over when he saw we were leaving!
347%3C4%3A775%7Ffp6%3Enu%3D3235%3E588%3E%3A%3A%3B%3EWSNRCG%3D32325%3A%3C645743nu0mrj

Meg is just thrilled with Stitch! Ashley tells Stitch that she (Ashley) is an angel. Stitch gives her Devil’s horns!

MINOR BACKTRACK
: Did I tell you about the lady on the bus that sat on me? I think it’s clear that I’m a little wide… so the seat next to me on the bus was a little tight. People are getting on and a grown woman “plops” down into that seat – and on my hip! She mumbles, “I’m sorry.” And disappears into the back of the bus. I never saw her again.

As we are getting pictures taken with the characters at O’Hana’s, Lilo SITS ON MY HIP!
347%3C4%3A775%7Ffp6%3Enu%3D3235%3E588%3E%3A%3A%3B%3EWSNRCG%3D32325%3A%3C64452%3Cnu0mrj

OK, maybe not so funny, but weird, right? If you go through my reports back to Jan., 2005, I’ve lost 30#, and no one sat on my on any of those trips!

Anyway, the O’Hana’s pictures cost $26.63. And breakfast would have been $81.62. And we had a great time!
347%3C4%3A775%7Ffp6%3Enu%3D3235%3E588%3E%3A%3A%3B%3EWSNRCG%3D32325%3A%3C644534nu0mrj

Now, remember how I lost my The Mouse for Less water bottle holder at the Magic Kingdom Tuesday night? I lamented its loss all day Wednesday. I have a strap from a few trips ago that will hold a water bottle, but it just hooks onto the top of the bottle, it doesn’t cover the bottle. TMFL holder was so nice because it was insulated; not only did it keep the water a little colder, but it also kept the bottle from getting you wet wherever it touched you!

So, at the Poly, I bought a new water bottle holder. It’s red and has Disney characters all over it. It worked very well :woohoo: but I was still sad. :sad2:

I have an extra TMFL water bottleholder. Never used (the Brita doesn't fit). I would be more than happy to send it out to you. Just PM me your address

Pam, That is so sweet! I just PM'd you.

And I see in your signature, you're almost outta here! Have a great trip!

Stuffed to the gills from O’Hana’s, we finish our shopping and head over to the monorail. This was the single COLDEST monorail IN THE WORLD!!! We were freezing! We started out huddled together, in our own car, riding backwards.

I wanted to get some pictures though, so I moved across the car.

It was so cold, there was water dripping on me from the condensation! I didn’t realize until it was time to change monorails that I had been sitting in the condensation! The girls took great delight in taking the photo…

347%3C4%3A775%7Ffp4%3Enu%3D3235%3E588%3E%3A%3A%3B%3EWSNRCG%3D32325%3A%3C645763nu0mrj

And we didn't think it could get any worse than the first picture of the report!

We switch monorails at the TTC… ahhh, much warmer in this monorail! The ride to EPCOT is much shorter than I remember it to be! Before I know it, we’re there! Now, as if today hasn’t already been a blast (and it’s only 9:30am, mind you!), the sight I was greeted with in EPCOT proved TODAY would be AWESOME!!!

347%3C4%3C676%7Ffp5%3Enu%3D3235%3E588%3E%3A%3A%3B%3EWSNRCG%3D32325%3A%3C645769nu0mrj

HOW is there no one around at 9:30 in the morning???

We enter the park and I need the bathroom (uh, hello? Sorry, but so far today I’ve had 3 or 4 cups of coffee, a glass of orange juice, and a cappuccino!) Actually, this works out fine, because Meg wants to find the Leave a Legacy tile she and her sister (and Rhonda and Mia) did when Meg was about 9. (Mia’s another sister – she was on the 01/2005 trip). I’ll meet you at the Leave a Legacy desk!

Meg got, not only the location of her tile, but also another one of Rhonda’s from a previous trip! Cool. Now, this might be hard to explain: They handed Meg 2 index card size pieces of paper – “Find YOUR Image In Six Easy Steps” (grammar Nazis, I know “IN” is not capitalized in that sentence, but apparently DISNEY does not!)

Side ONE of the card shows steps 1, 2, & 3. Side TWO of the card shows Steps 4, 5, & 6.

The Leave a Legacy monoliths are divided into 2 “wings” – east and west. That’s Step 1 – Find YOUR Side. That was easy – east.

Step 2 – Find YOUR row. Easy again, Row 1 – closest to that big ball thing. (kidding… golf ball thing)

Step 3 – Find YOUR section. (A through I). Again, super easy – Section A (jeez! Rhonda, were you WAITING for EPCOT to open the Leave a Legacy booth when they started this???)

Time top flip over the card.
Step 4 – Find YOUR panel. Each panel in a section has a number. Meg is telling us number 20… except Row 1, Section A, doesn’t HAVE a number 20!!! :confused3

Have you figured this out yet? Because it took us about 5 minutes of this before we realized…

Meg had the cards together and was flipping them over TOGETHER!!!

MENTAL NOTE TO SELF: Not that we ever need to find these again, but before I lose the 2 slips of paper – Side East, Row 1, Section A, Panel 21, Count Up 10, Count Across 2 and Side East, Row 5, Section G, Panel 20, Count Up 3, Count Across 9. There. Preserved for all time. Or until Disney takes them down.

OK, moving on! We found both sets of pictures – and here’s where Rhonda kills me!

Next on my agenda: Kim Possible game testing is taking place. I had read about it online and talked to a woman on the bus one day because she and her family had done it that week. She told me this was the last week they were offering it. So I am determined to see if we can play this!

I ask a cast member near the entrance, he has a blank look on his face and sends us to Guest Services. We go there. The super-nice CM there tells us we have to go back to the front of the park, but first makes Meggie a birthday hat. Surprise to me, but she wears it ALL DAY! Just when you think you know someone…
347%3C549%3C%3B%7Ffp6%3Enu%3D3235%3E588%3E%3A%3A%3B%3EWSNRCG%3D32325%3A%3C645%3B48nu0mrj

I’m not letting this Kim Possible thing go just yet. We head back down under Spaceship Earth. The girls ask what I’m going to do. I reply that I’ll ask cast member after cast member if I have to. But I WILL play Kim Possible today. So I stop a cast member, who gives me a blank look and points towards the entrance.

We go on.

I stop another cast member. This one points off to the side, next to the Leave a Legacy booth! Look! A blue table! With Kim Possible pictures! Duh!!! There’s a man and a woman at the table. So, I go up and ask if they take volunteers or if they are looking for a certain demographic (yes, I really said that. I’m sorry.)

The man says we just missed it, they stopped yesterday. I hope HE thought it was funny! Then we got signed up! Whoo-freakin’-hoo! :cool1: First, we need a team name. God only knows what Ashley and Meg will come up with, so I asked Meg what nickname I was using for her THIS week (it changes from minute to minute!) It was Poodle (I don’t have the slightest clue WHY, I think we should just all be glad I’m past calling her Turtle-Head.) Team Poodle is to report to Canada’s pavilion between 11:15 and 11:30.

It’s only 10. :hourglass Even I don’t need over an hour to get from Spaceship Earth to Canada! :rotfl2: So we went on a time travel journey in the big golf ball. Then we wander a little. I take them to Club Cool. Even Meg’s never been there! And Ashley doesn’t drink soda – let’s see… she doesn’t drink soda and it’s super air conditioned in there… oh, yeah, Club Cool might have been goose-bump girl’s favorite part of the trip! :rotfl: Meanwhile, keep an eye on Meg, she’s guzzling the really caffeinated beverage! Oh, great, just what I need! :Pinkbounc

We come out of Club Cool through the back doors and I lead us into another building because I know there’s a bathroom in there (saw that coming, did ya?) Right behind the Fountainview Bakery. And we spot King Louie!
347%3C549%3C%3B%7Ffp3%3Enu%3D3235%3E588%3E%3A%3A%3B%3EWSNRCG%3D32325%3A%3C64576%3Cnu0mrj

And a cat we didn’t know the name of from Pinocchio (I think we were told later, Gideon?),
347%3C549%3C%3B%7Ffp5%3Enu%3D3235%3E588%3E%3A%3A%3B%3EWSNRCG%3D32325%3A%3C645%3B49nu0mrj

and Goofy!
347%3C549%3C%3B%7Ffp3%3Enu%3D3235%3E588%3E%3A%3A%3B%3EWSNRCG%3D32325%3A%3C645%3B4%3Bnu0mrj

Then I can see past Goofy and realize I just stumbled upon the back of the Character Connection!

We head back around the front of that and see all the characters.
347%3C549%3C%3B%7Ffp4%3Enu%3D3232%3E4%3B%3B%3E64%3A%3E23234%3B%3B73%3B838ot1lsi

347%3C549%3C%3B%7Ffp3%3Enu%3D3235%3E588%3E%3A%3A%3B%3EWSNRCG%3D32325%3A%3C59%3B578nu0mrj

347%3C549%3C%3B%7Ffp6%3Enu%3D3235%3E588%3E%3A%3A%3B%3EWSNRCG%3D32325%3A%3C59%3B565nu0mrj

347%3C549%3C%3B%7Ffp6%3Enu%3D3235%3E588%3E%3A%3A%3B%3EWSNRCG%3D32325%3A%3C59%3B564nu0mrj

347%3C549%3C%3B%7Ffp6%3Enu%3D3235%3E588%3E%3A%3A%3B%3EWSNRCG%3D32325%3A%3C645779nu0mrj

And by this time, we can stroll to Canada! We still got there a little early, so we hit the Canadian shopping scene. The children discovered Aero Milk Chocolate Bars! They went NUTS!!! Meg also bought a Maple Espresso Bar (oh, good. More caffeine! :rolleyes1 )

And it’s time to head up to the Kim Possible event! :cheer2:

:sad2:

That reminds me of how I lost my Toronto Blue Jays visor well riding a Jet Ski at Castway Cay (prondced key by the way). I replaced it with one I boght at She Sells Sea Shell that says "Castawy Key Beach Patrol established 1998". I am still a lttle sadedned by it's loss.

We check in for the Kim Possible game in a building upstairs in Canada. Go up the stairs to the shop and go up the stairs again, there’s a building to your right (above LeCellier) that I don’t remember ever going into. :confused3 That’s where they had you go to begin.

I sign us in and have to give them my credit card info in case we don’t return our “Kimmunicator” – :happytv: I love that joke! It’s a cell phone. Well, it’s “disguised” as a cell phone!

There were a couple of other families checking in at the same time. We were sent to the next station to the left where a wide screen TV was set up. An introduction meeting was playing on a time loop every few minutes and explained the characters a little bit (which, for those of us who have never seen Kim Possible, helped a lot!) :teeth:

Then a CM came over with our communicators and showed us how they worked. She then sent us out of the building to find a place to get your secret mission (there were 3 missions all together). Because it was Meg’s birthday trip, she got to carry the phone. We hurried out and looked for a shady place to sit. We huddled around the phone and Meg got us going. Another family that had been briefed with us came out and huddled on a bench across the way.

THIS IS WHERE I NEED YOUR INPUT - DO I GIVE YOU THE DETAILS OR NOT??? I KNOW SOME PEOPLE WILL NEVER PLAY THE GAME AND DON'T CARE IF I SPILL IT, BUT OTHER'S MIGHT WANT A SURPRISE... I HAVE IT ALL TYPED, I COULD PM IT OR E-MAIL IT TO WHOEVER ASKS FOR IT... OR I COULD POST IT HERE... WHAT SHOULD I DO?

I would like to know. When you decide you can post here, Email or PM me.
I dont think many people would mind knowing, most people spill about tours and such this is no different, or is it....

Hello Tiggerbell,

You're trip sure does sound great! I see signs of my own mother in how you talk about your trip.

I went on a Orlando trip with my mum, best friend and his mum, and we had never argued before, but over those two weeks we sure did, something about being overwhelmed;

But for the most part we gained memories to last us our lives, and even though we dont really talk anymore, (i moved away, :guilty: ) we will remember our holiday forever. And i couldnt be more thankful to my mum, i will always love her for the things she treated me to when i was young, (pitty once u hit 18 it turns from this: :sunny: popcorn:: :p to this :smokin: :furious: :stir: sorry mum!)

But Tiggerbell you should be proud of being such a great mother! do this dance... quick

Thanks for writing this trip in so much detail, it really has been great to read, and i was so sad when i caught up with you and now have to wait for the rest of the holiday to be written. Hope that you, meg and goosebump had a great time :woohoo:

Also i would love to read about the game you played, but if others dont wish for you to write about it, may i have a copy sent to me via pm or email? thanks :)
