Very nice ending to JAG tonight where they paid tribute to Trevor Goddard. Amazing they had footage of all of them singing "Waltzing Matilda" and Goddard walking away. It made for a fitting memorial. It's sad how many shows have to pay tribute to their cast members...seems like more than normal this past year.

I really like JAG, but was out tonight. Sorry I missed it. I'll have to catch it in reruns.

You know, I really need to watch more television. I don't know who Trevor Goddard is

It was a very moving ending. Trevor was Mick, Mac's intended at one time.

I believe Trevor Goddard accidentally overdosed on some drugs (don't remember if they were OTC, illegal, prescription or what) and alcohol in June.

Now, how about that episode?

Yes, he did overdose. They think it may have been a suicide (he was 37).

He was Mic Brumy on JAG and is also the Australian bushman in the Hoover Floormate commercials (which I have seen running again) and is also in Pirates of the Caribbean (released after his death).

I missed a lot of the show itself -- basically caught the end where Mac tells Harm it'll never work.

Amazing they had footage of all of them singing "Waltzing Matilda" and Goddard walking away.

That scene was from a couple of seasons ago when he was done with his duty with the US and he was heading back to Australia. I also thought it was very fitting.

Mac said it would never work, but she had that "look" in her eye.

I was very touched to see the tribute that JAG did for Trevor.

What a salute.........

It was a fitting tribute. I'm going to miss him. I know he's in POC - I've seen it 5 times, and have yet to spy him. Does anyone know which character he played?

I haven't seen the movie but a web search says the character he played is called "Grapple". I think he's one of the undead pirates.

I also came across info that says his death was ruled as not a suicide but caused by a combination of heroin, cocaine and the prescription drugs Valium and Vicodin in Goddard's body. I guess he also posed as Australian when he was really born and raised in England.

In PoC he's in several scenes:

-When the pirates are pillaging Port Royale, he's the pirate that's fighting with will and says, "Say Goodbye!" just before a sign crashes into him and throws him into a window
-He's also one of the 2 pirates sitting on the Black Pearl, talking about what food they are going to eat, when Elizabeth sneaks aboard to let out Gibbs and the rest of Jack's crew.

Those are the only ones I can think of off the top of my head where the camera is really on him, but once you see him, you can pick him out of the rest of the scenes he is in.

Thanks zulaya - I'll watch for him when I see it again. It's still playing here. I might go for my sixth time some day this week!
