Up early again as we are off to Animal Kingdom but I think the early mornings are catching up with everyone as I have to wake the kids this morning
.
Off we set out of the house are 8.30 am and arrive in the car park at 9am . It is very hot today and must admit Animal Kingdom is not my favourite of parks and always feels so much hotter!!
Anyway in we went and as usual the kids rule and we start with Its a Bugs life which everyone loved and Lewis couldnt stop laughing at some of the effects! Off to Everest we went and although we try to do rides for everyone this was one I was going on whether anyone else comes or not so DH,John and I head for the mountain and almost certain death at the hands of the yeti and only a 10 minute wait I love this ride. Once we came off ,laughed at the photo we bought the kids a couple of cuddly yeti and headed back to where we left them stewing in the heat!
Next was the Safari tour which was only 20 minutes. The kids loved this one and DS was just delighted at all the animals we saw especially the baby giraffe.
After that it was onto Dinoland and the park was beginning to get very busy. We managed the Dinosaur Dumbos and then the kids wanted to explore the boneyard whilst my mum and dad try to find some shelter out of the extremely hot sun.
We then decided we would go for lunch purely to cool down so just headed for burger and chips in Dinoland and then onto Everest one last time before we had to bale out or be deep fried. Just before we left DH remembered we had fastpasses for Kali River Rapids and although the kids were a bit dubious agreed to come on to cool down well that was an understatement as we got soaked. This is now DS favourite ride!
Suitably cooled down we headed for the car passing though various shops on the way and headed home and the kids hit the pool they were not long in the pool when the rain came but they didnt want to go out again so Granda went to get some Pizza and let out out for the evening didnt need to say that twice
With the rain on for the night the only place to shelter was the Florida Mall so off we set. Wandered round not knowing what to look at first. I popped into Sephora and 30 minutes later after DH loosing the will to live out I came with lots of Philosophy,Clinique,Stila and Smashbox goodies. Then onto Aveda to stock up on shampoo. DH bought a couple of t shirt from Oakley and by the time we had something to eat the mall was closing never mind there are plenty more days.
Arrived home to the kids asleep I sat by the pool with a drink watching the lightning then off to bed
