Thank you! I cherish these pictures a lot now. I looove the pictures of Becky running: we posted them on her wall as soon as we got the disc so the world could see. And I HATE being late too. It's so disrespectful. Grr.

I wish I had a post for you to read every morning! These things are time intensive: I'll have a new one on Monday morning though, I promise. And once Chris pointed out his name to me, we started CRACKING up. It was very mature of us. Dress us up, can't take us anywhere!

Actually, that ostrich looks pretty tasty. When you said raw ostrich, I was picturing a cold, slimy chicken breast LOL. I think I could handle that though.
-I look fierce! I have never been told that before. I am like Tyra!
-So when my MOH came to visit, we came across a book called "The Bridesmaid's Guide" or whatever: and on the first page, it talked about having to run to get the bride's forgotten veil. We collapsed into giggles: I am apparently a wedding-day cliche!

-Chris and my dad did have a good relationship: my dad was very upset that Chris's dad didn't go to the wedding, and would drunkenly yell at Chris's dad via facebook. It was actually hilarious.

Thank you so much! I wish I could have Randy just walk around and take pictures of me all the time. I love how he tells a story. And I also found it hilarious that it let you say the "a-word" once, but not twice. So weird. And yes, we were SO excited to get the pictures of Becky running.

Wedding Day: Part 5

While I was in the car, my BFF Dick Hardman attempted to calm me down a bit. He told me he gives all of his brides the option of either going to the ceremony or going to the Animal Kingdom. I replied "Oh, I HATE the Animal Kingdom!!!" In retrospect, not exactly the most romantic thing for a bride-to-be to say. He then started talking about how he and his wife went to go see the Baby Gorilla once a week so they could watch her grow up. I suppose all of this was interesting; but, really? I didn't want to talk about gorillas! (Jennifer, however, would have been in all of her animal-lovin' glory!) My dad kept telling me there was no reason to be nervous, but I totally disagreed with him.

I will tell you all one thing though: driving in a Model A Ford on the Boardwalk itself was such a cool experience. Dick had to keep honking the horn, which just called more attention to us, and everyone kept peering in and cheering: naturally, my dad and I did the Queen of England wave. I'm sure all of you girls who are already married have had this revelation too, but isn't it bizarre to think that you are in SO many peoples' vacation pictures? I had this one older woman watch the whole ceremony and take a bunch of pictures of me. Very bizarre. Anyway, one of my favorite interactions happened when I was in the car: this adorable family (mother, father, and 8ish year old daughter) saw me, got excited, waved, and then bowed! I had never been bowed to before.

So while we were driving over, everyone else was just waiting for me.

Reverend Jack is pretty much the most adorable man on the face of the earth. Chris told me he handed him the envelope with the marriage license, and he said to him "The license and the money are in there." RevJack said "I don't care about the money; I just want to get you married!"

Look at Chris's hand. Richelle said that he had the tightest fist she'd ever seen.

Anyway, all of this happened when I was in the car, so I am not exactly sure how the processional went. I know the guys walked in to some song from a Legend of Zelda video game.

Richelle and Becky walked in to "As Long As You Love Me" by the Backstreet Boys. I really wish I could have heard that.

I think at this point I was in the car, just waiting for the cue to get out. We sat outside the venue for what felt like an eternity, but I am fairly certain it was only a few minutes.

This was how I had the venue decorated, by the way: I swagged chiffon on the railings, and had a daisy and a ribbon tied to the outermost chair. It looked SO pretty, and was really cost effective. (I didn't notice any of this until after the ceremony though.)

We got the cue...

and it was time for the World's Most Ungraceful Bride to get out of the car.

I'm pretty sure I am yelling at my dad here and telling him not to step on the dress...

This is from when Chris saw me for the first time. He told me that he cried a little bit too. So sweet.

I was walking up the aisle to "Daydream Believer" (my favorite song of all time), but I honestly didn't hear it. I didn't hear a single note of music, nor did I notice any of the decorations. All I saw was Chris.

And, in no time at all (probably because SBP has the shortest aisle in the world...) I was standing up there with Chris.

And, with that, I have to go throw some clothes on and get ready for school!

I'm actually opting not to have a coach or car, not just because of the expense, but because I am very well-know to fall out of anything that requires a backseat of more than six inches to the ground.
