So yesterday was our 5 month mark! yippee!! I was expecting to get our monthly check in since we got our 6 month actually on the 4th (the 5th of Nov was a Sat) but I kept waiting all day and nada. Hopefully I'll get it today!

I'm also still waiting on Laura's revised floral BEO. She told me she'd send it over by the next day which was last Thursday and I don't have it yet. I'm anxious, hurry it along Laura!!

Friday I worked from home and when I went out to get the mail, we had gotten a package from our photographer!!

I am completely in love with their packaging since I am a wrapping and pretty packaging freak. Seriously the entire family knows which gifts are from us always because I always ensure everything is so pretty, hand tied ribbon bows etc.
I am just blown away with our photographers. We have aout 360 pictures from them and it's so hard to just pick a few we love! Have I mentioned how much I adore them????

I have been meaning to ask you (if you happen to come back in my PJ) you used one of the conference rooms at the Grand becasue it was available two weeks before your wedding right?? Right now we have it reserved (with a $500 min.) so we're going to drop it from the plan and hope to get it for free at 2 weeks out. Is it just an open conference room? I saw my planner noted to have them place a full length mirror and some tables and chairs, thats pretty much about it. I'm thinking we might be more comfy with tv and etc in our 1 bedroom villa. Just wondering, if you happen to be back, I'd love your opinion!!

hehe, thanks! i've been peeping yours too! (more like stalking...sorry. bahaha)
i can't really take credit for any of our colors, hat, etc. I saw the balloons in an STD on Pinterest and sent it to our photog, other than that she told us what she wanted us to wear, what colors, to get the hat, etc. We were a little leary at first but I think they turned out great!!

thanks wedding twin!! we ended up ordering that first one in an 11x14, mostly because we're slightly small in it rather than a big pic of our faces to look at! But I really love the colors and lighting in it too!!

We ordered our Christmas cards finally and our Save the Date's!!
Our invitations are about to go out in a little less than two months, so we were debating not sending them, but I fell in love with the design and just really wanted to send them!! We got the STD's from minted.com, I just approved the 'proof' and they should go to print now! Anyone else wanting to use Minted, let me know. If we refer each other, we both get $25!

annd I'm trying to add the STD's on here but I can't I have the proof saved as a PDF, anyone who can tell me how to get it here?

We also got our Christmas cards from winkflash.com. We just made them with a picture of Goonie since the STD's are pretty much going out within a week, don't need to overwhelm people with pictures of us!! They already shipped and once we get them I'll post a picture!

STILL no updated floral BEO from Laura and I'm getting irritated.... she said one day and now it's been 8...


Bethie posted a pic of the Asbury patio at the BC and now I'm really wanting to do a farewell breakfast there, even if it's just setting up some tables and chairs and a continental breakfast, that space is just so pretty!! Wish I knew where our floral is at so I could tweak what I needed to allow for the farewell breakfast My wheels are spinning per usual!

ALso on the HUNT for light grey suits for the guys. I know MW rents them, but I've seen several weddings this year all with the same suit and now I can spot the MW suit. (boo) So I'm thinking of finding suits for the guys to all buy instead ($150/suit is the max I'd ask them to spend). If anyone sees any, please let me know! We have 8 men total including DF, the GM and our dad's!

Oh- AND! I did email Kristen, our room coordinator and she got back to me the same day (I love her and her promptness!) We have 40 nights booked so far!! We have 61 contracted and 49 guaranteed, so we'll definitely make it!! (25 of them are through DVC so we dont need to expand our room block just yet) I'm hoping now that the STD's go out, people will start planning and book soon!

Can't wait for my BEO ph meeting with Maxine on Thursday- I've got notes about my notes.

I FINALLY got the chance to sit down and catch up on your PJ. Try not to stress too much about cutting down the BEO. We haven't gotten ours yet, but I dread seeing it. We'll have to share tips on how to reduce our BEOs. After thinking about it, we are almost certain we're going to take the microphones/speakers for the ceremony off. I really feel that's one thing we can do without.

Hi! I too struggled with this. We didn't have a villa, just our one room, although we were going to have my parent's room as the makeup room and mine as the hair room. But I'm glad we got the free conference room. No, there was no tv or anything in it, but we had so many people and it was nice to all be in one room (we had 19 people at one time, I think). My dad went out and got a finger sandwich platter and drinks at Publix and brought it back and it was like a little party.

But hmm...to have a villa and just get ready is nice too...

Oh..but wait..having the room right there next to the reception was soooo nice! I went in really quick to take my underskirt off between dance songs because it was bothering me. And I just left my flip flops in there during the ceremony because I knew I could change right before the reception. And it was easy for all the girls to just grab their stuff afterwards. So yeah, I would pick the conference room

Although..where are you getting married? For some reason, I'm thinking it's at BW and if that's the case, don't get the conference room at GF. That wouldn't help at all. I would do the villa then (if it's close to the wedding) or see if they have a small conference room at BW that you can use.

I feel terrible saying it but I've been in such a bad mood the last few days. I feel like I have no idea how I'm going to make everything work and pay for it all. I've been working my bum off doing OT (more $$ than getting a part-time job since I get time and a half) and I'm barely paying my bills at this point. I'm so glad we told our families no presents for Christmas this year because I really don't know how I could make any presents work.

I guess I'm just super stressed at this point, especially knowing we have 5 months to go and now things are really going to kick into gear. I'm trying to keep a brave face, DF has asked what's wrong and if it's wedding related and I keep telling him no, I don't want him to know how stressed I am over this but ugghhh it's so hard. Anyone else hit this wall??

I think this is totally normal. I felt like that for a while the last few months of planning. Df felt awful because I have never felt so stressed in my life. I kept feeling like nothing was going to come together the way I had envisioned it. And the money thing was a horrible feeling. We started off with a budget and then no matter how hard we tried it just kept increasing. We took out everything that we could from the BEO without taking away the overall feel but we still weren't where we wanted to be. Df and I never fought and then the last few months it felt like that was all we did but I can tell you no matter how it seems right now things will get better and things will work out in the end. We ended up having to put a little bit on a credit card even though we really didn't want to but df wanted me to have everything I dreamed and my parents were at their max! (we decided we would use some wedding money to pay it right off) I never thought we would come up with all the money we needed but some how we did I don't know who said wedding planning is suppose to be fun because by the end I was starting to think I was the only person who wasn't enjoying this. Biggest thing I can tell you is too make sure you and your fiance get out just the two of you now and then and make a point not to talk about the wedding

Hopefully you have gotten a revised BEO and you are getting closer to the price range you want. It always seemed like forever waiting to get the latest BEO back.

I just finished reading your whole pj. Not sure how I had missed it all before.
Everything looks fabulous!

You and I have really similar tastes...same colors, both using Impressions (who are super awesome and creative), a lot of the same decor elements (centerpieces, chairs, etc). Just to name a few. I am glad your wedding is so far ahead of mine, so I can get a good idea of how it will all look. My planning session is almost 2 months after your wedding, so hopefully you will have posted some pics that I can take with me.

I am glad you love the Asbury Patio and hope you get to use it. We actually added the farewell breakfast after we saw it. We absolutely love the space.

When we were down in November, I was luckily able to go over during the actual time of day as our events, to get an idea about lighting for our events. There were other events being held there when we looked, but I did snap this one photo with it set up for an event. It's not great, but I can post it if you want. I would now, but photobucket is being troublesome.

Fingers crossed that the new BEO comes soon. I hate the constant refreshing of the email.

Thank you!! I actually am super excited, I searched every dept store there is and then went back to the suit I liked before at Joseph A. Bank that I missed a previous sale on.. Last night there was a promo ending yesterday (go figure) for buy one suit, get 2 FREE- so for $350 we could get 3 suits, about $116 each! Except we didnt have everyones sizes and when I realized it was about 9PM last night. So I emailed everyone for their sizes so the next time I see a sale we can just buy them all- this AM I log on and there's a new sale, for 50% off and buy 1 get two free. So today for 3 suits theyre $91 each! Even better!! The boys are all rushing to get fitted and get me their size so we can buy them tomorrow!

Yes! I expected it to be bad, and really the BEO part wasn't as bad as floral was for me- and I'm STILL waiting for the updated floral-- grrr. I really hope I get it before I talk to Maxine on Thursday. I'll ask her about the speakers and if any of it is "required" and let you know!

hahaha Thanks!! I didn't even think about having the room to leave our stuff in and etc, that's a good thought! Our ceremony is at the Beach Club, so right now we have one of the conference rooms in the YC convention center booked, but our reception is at the BW so we'll basically use the room to get ready in and that'll be it. I think we're going to deal with the villa for now and if the conference room happens to be free two weeks out we'll talk then about where we want to get ready. We have 13 of us including my girls, the flower girl, our moms and DF's grandmother. I am thinking of spacing out the mom's and etc so I'm mostly with my girls keeping me calm (the mom's tend to get me worked up. haha)

Money really is my biggest stressor these days just because I'm so in the mindset that people will notice all my small details, even though I bet they really won't. I'm trying to stop myself lately and it's been calming me down more. I/We have not charged 1 thing yet for the wedding and the plan is not to, so I am at least glad with that! I really thought that too- this is supposed to be such a great and fun experience so why am I so miserable right now?? haha I know in the end it will be amazing and to just try and sit back and enjoy this!!

I am so excited we have so many nights booked already, it really makes it real. I've really been trying to push our wedding party specifically and our photographers to book soon- our STD's are going out and once people start booking we're only guaranteed so many rooms at that price. Hopefully they listen! Oh- when did your photog come down? Did you pay for their hotel so you chose where they stayed or how did that work? We paid ours a flat $1000 travel fee to get to FL and home and stay, so I can't really tell them where to stay or when to come but I'm anxious to know of course!

I am really obsessed with my color palette so hopefully it works well! I can't wait to see everything come together! I really love Michelle's dahlia's in her bouquet but I'm not sure if theyre in season in May. I'm thinking about trying to add them in somewhere, but not sure where they range in flowers (ie if theyre as expensive as peonies) haha
I would love to see pictures of an event at the patio if you're able to get them uploaded, if not no biggie! I really hope we can add in something there! My ladies may be surpring me and that's where our little breakfast is but I'm not sure since they're keeping the plans from me.
