Soooo, so far immediately we are taking out the petals swirled down the aisle during the ceremony. I think we are perfect for cocktail hour (less than $400) now just to see what we can do about the reception- eek!! We are definitely getting the silver chiavari chairs too, so tahts another $800 to add into this. If we could get to around 6k, I'd be happy (I think). Hopefully should have our regular BEO by next week too. We'll see how much they add up together and go from there. If the other BEO is less than I expected and I'm pleasantly surprised, we'll see what we can keep here. Everything sounds so gorgeous, this is going to be hard!!! :confused3 Help!!

Hi sweetie
You can use an outside vendor for everything decor of the inside venues and your personal floral. You can also use an outside vendor for the chairs if you wish!!! That way, you may be able to have exactly what you want for half the price!!!

Thanks Jo! I definitely want to get floral through Disney so it counts towards our minimum, we are already using an outside photographer and really want to try to stay as close to our mark as we can! I've come up with what I'm hoping is a viable solution of breaking things down! I'll report back if we can make it happen! :goodvibes

WOW!!!! Thank you so much for posting the Floral BEO, I have been looking for one that would be similar to what I was looking for.

I LOVE peonies too, I think looking at your BEO Im going to have to see what cabbage roses are going to cost instead. Hopefully they will be less! Floral is the most important thing to me!

I love peonies too but wow are they pricey! We are sadly going with cabbage roses instead as they aren't in season for my wedding! Boo!

Your bouquet sounds GORGEOUS!

I think it's smart to cut out the petals-- could you bring them in yourself? Everything really does sound beautiful- I don't blame you for not wanting to cut things out! I have no advice. :(

I hope that you can find a way to cut it down to $6k!

First, I am so excited I just learned how to "multi quote" haha:rotfl:

I'm definitely going to ask how much the cost will change maybe taking the peonies out of the arrangements at reception only or using them sparingly, etc. I'm really wondering how big these arrangements are or what they look like too- the triple goblets and revere bowls! Hopefully I can get some pictures from Laura since I'm a visual person! :goodvibes

Thank you! We aren't allowed to bring them I think because we are out on the beach, but I wasn't really too sold on them once we moved to the beach too, they would have been prettier on the Croquet Lawn I think, no loss there really. We asked and it didn't work out, that' definitely 1 thing I'm ok with! :rolleyes1

I tried to "re-work" our Floral BEO myself, adjusting the BM bouquets to $100 each and the reception centerpieces to $100 each and we're down to about $7200 with tax, I can live with that. So now I'm waiting to talk to Laura to see what we need to do to get those prices down, cross your fingers for me ladies!! :wizard:

Wowzers! Disney isn't cheap, that's for sure. I hope you can work it out where it is perfect and you love it but it's still affordable. Walking into this you never know just how much money is about to be spent...at least I didn't. It will totally be worth it. :)

Wanted to share the design on our wedding koozies that are in production!!
We ordered the actual koozie to be light grey and the writing in white. Can't wait to see them in person!

And I got some pictures back from one of Laura's assistants, Jen, with the pictures of the arrangements
Here is the revere bowl:

And Triple Silver Goblet Set:
triplesilvergobletswithroses.jpg

I must say, I love the revere bowls arrangements. The goblet set I'm not sold on. I really wanted everything to be symmetrical, but I definitely can't afford to put revere bowls all the way down the tables. hahaha This was my original idea (notice they are all pretty much the same thing. haha):

I set up a phone meeting with Laura to discuss next Weds 11/29. Hopefully we'll be able to make it work! :goodvibes

Glad you got your floral BEO! Ours came in right around the same price. We knew it was going to be bad but wasn't expecting it to be that bad. Haha Good thing is we were able to cut a lot without taking away from the overall look we wanted. I am sure it will take a while but your florist will be able to make lots of changes. First of all I would consider changing your bouquets and going a little smaller. I read from many people on here that the bride bouquets were too large and heavy. I made mine the size of bridesmaid bouquets and then made bridesmaids a little smaller. This cut a decent amount and we were assured that they would still look great. I think taking out the flower petals is a good idea, that is so expensive :scared1: What about cutting the rose petals on the tables for reception? Maybe making the arrangements for reception a little smaller you can cut some money? Hopefully you get some ideas from your florist soon so you can start thinking about options :)

By the way I really like the glass bowls with the flowers in it!!!!

Thanks Ashey! I'm a flower freak so I really want mine big secretly, :rotfl: but I am going to see what I can do to make the BM bouquets $100 instead of $145. I really like the glass bowls too, very simple but elegant, so I'm going to ask for the price for those rather than the goblet set. I'm hoping to keep a few revere bowls but definitely not all down the tables. I have a phone meeting with them next Wednesday (she's off this week) so I'll report back!! :goodvibes

Love the koozies!

Thanks!! I just got notification they shipped, can't wait to see them in person, :yay:

Tricia,

Love the koozies! What a great idea. I am sure your guests will love them.

I have to thank you for posting your Floral BEO and especially the picture of the Revere Bowl. I know that I have mentioned how much I love them and how I think they would be perfect for our reception, but I am totally set on having them now. I have been searching and searching for centerpiece inspiration and I can stop now, since I can't imagine liking (or finding anything that would be more perfect) more than these. I can't wait to see how yours turn out with the pink flowers (those are my colors too).

Good luck with the phone call. Hopefully you can knock some money off this and still have the floral you have imagined.

Thanks so much! The koozies should be coming on Monday, can't wait to see them!

No problem!! I have definitely been able to prepare myself reading other BEO's and hopefully mine does the same! I love the Revere Bowls too- theyre so timeless and just plain pretty. :goodvibes

I'm definitey hoping to knock the price down and will report back!

grrr we got our BEO and I just typed out the entire thing, apparnetly pushed something and it's gone!! :sad2:
I don't have the energy to type all of that again so I'll do it another day!

We are higher than we want to be, but not terribly!! Right now we are at 33,337.34, but Maxine has two DP's listed right now, so we can see the cost comparison between the Marina at GF and Epcot UK Lochside- I really think we will be going with Epcot- it's actually less expensive even with the viewing fees to bring everyone in (and a lot of our guests will have park passes).

She also has a few things I can take out very easily, ie. she has us down for a luncheon while we get ready on the wedding day (because we'd need to spend at least $500 to use one of the conference rooms) So we'll be dropping that and plan to get ready in my parent's 1 bedroom villa at the BC and see if a conference room is open two weeks prior to the wedding!

She also lists a bunch of technical things for our ceremony, like wireless microphones, even though we said we dont want them. So I assume she put them in there to let us see if we wanted to keep them? It also lists a "Technical Operator" for 5 hours under "Ceremony" Last I checked our ceremony is going to be about 20 minutes so I need to check with her what this refers to. Anyone here know??

We also have two different ceremony location usage fees- one that is taxable(1225) and one that isn't (775). Anyone know about this??

She also lists our cake to match the picture we sent, which was a hexagon-shape. I'm perfectly fine with it being square or round, don't need the extra work for hexagon, but we'll see if this changes the price at all (minor obvi)

For the kiddos- do we have to serve each child a meal? We have almost 10 kids, but they are all under age 3 (youngest will be 6 mos). Do we have to get these tikes their own meals or can they eat off their parents plates? Just wondering! Maybe DF's neice who is the oldest of the little kids (she'll be 3 in August) may want her own meal but she's really the only one and DF's sister already said she could eat off their plate, hmmm

We also have the Call Brand Package right now for open bar for 5 hours- I really want to see what we can modify in this, see if we can get champagne included (or else we will just eliminate), what kinds of liquor and beer are included/not included etc. See if we can modify this so we aren't adding things we and our guests won't drink!

Any suggestions so far? I'll try and post the actual BEO tomorrow sometime! (Maxine sent me PDF so I have to type it all out- whew!) :goodvibes
Hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving!!!

Love the floral pictures! So pretty!

Sorry to hear about the BEO! Glad to hear you're happy with the price right now.. that's great!

It sounds like you have a little wiggle room to cut stuff out so that's even better if you want to bring down the cost a bit. Love it!

As far as the kiddos, I'm not sure what the standard procedure is here... I almost feel like anyone under 3 should just be able to eat off of their parents' plate. Honestly, that's probably what I'd do unless there is a rule or one of your parents' ask for a meal for their child.

Great updates! I love the floral pictures. You flowers are going to be gorgeous no matter what you decide to do! :goodvibes

As far as the ceremony location fees, they do split it up between taxable and non taxable. Not sure why they do this, but that's how it was for us too.

We only had 3 kids at our wedding. Two were older kids so they ate off the buffet, and the other one is 2 so she ate off of her parents' plates.

Thanks! Yes I'm really wanting to get it down to around the minimum, I know it'll be hard but I'm going to try my best! The kids meals are basically $30/child and I really doubt any of them would really eat it, so I'm hoping we can def take that off!

Great updates! I love the floral pictures. You flowers are going to be gorgeous no matter what you decide to do! :goodvibes

Thanks!! I really hope I can work the floral down quite a bit, even if I have to lose most of my peonies. I'd rather keep the DP than have peonies in the centerpieces! :)

I'm really hoping they'll tell me we can let the kids eat off the parents, we are having 4 courses so I'm sure they'll get enough!

I feel terrible saying it but I've been in such a bad mood the last few days. I feel like I have no idea how I'm going to make everything work and pay for it all. I've been working my bum off doing OT (more $$ than getting a part-time job since I get time and a half) and I'm barely paying my bills at this point. I'm so glad we told our families no presents for Christmas this year because I really don't know how I could make any presents work.

I guess I'm just super stressed at this point, especially knowing we have 5 months to go and now things are really going to kick into gear. :confused3 I'm trying to keep a brave face, DF has asked what's wrong and if it's wedding related and I keep telling him no, I don't want him to know how stressed I am over this but ugghhh it's so hard. Anyone else hit this wall?? :sad2:
