We haven't stayed in SSR yet, but this is exactly the way that we feel about the DVC resorts. They all have their own special charms!

Not only a very well written post, but an accurate one too.

No DVC resort is perfect and none are horrible. They are different. We have stayed at all the DVC resorts including HHI and Vero beach many times and we like them all for different reasons.

I truly never can understand why some must put one resort down, in order to make their Home Resort look or at least sound better. If your Home can not stand on it's own merit, then possibly it is more about the owner and less about the resort.

We just bought @ SSR and I love the decor. But our first trip home will likely be @OKW for the large units and the lower points. And then I think, maybe I should try BWV for the action, or BCV for SAB. I guess I'll just have to try them alll!

Before I purchased, I took a peek at all the DVCs-checked out the general atmostphere etc... You described these resorts so well that I felt like I was warped back to the first time I saw each of them! I am on a mission to try them all too and I loved hearing your report. Keep up the writing here-I'd love to hear more commentaries on your trip

Darn!!! I speed-read your post hoping that you would give me what I needed - the place to buy!! I haven't stayed at any of these properties (except WL resort). So I wanted to see THE one you would recommend. But I did enjoy your diatribe (kidding). You are so right, anywhere is good as long as you are at Disney.

I want to buy points but I can't decide where. I may have to make a short trip down there (from Maine) just to see them myself. But I have a feeling I will love them all.
I guess a lot of people would love to have my problem, wouldn't they.

We're on the edge of buying. I can't wait to stay at SSR.... but I have always dreamed of staying at the WL, so VWL would be great. Oh heck they'd all be great!
