What is DVC? is it disney vacation club? how does it work? how much does it cost? ........sorry to sound stupid... we are looking at going every other year to disney now will this save me money?

Yes...DVC is the Disney Vacation Club - Disney's version of timeshare. Depending on where you would ordinarily be planning to stay at Disney will determine whether you'd save money by buying into the DVC, but I'd say probably yes. If nothing else, you could get Moderate to Deluxe accomodation for considerably less than everyone else would pay!
