..... but I believe strongly in the power of them, and I always welcome the opportunity to pray for others. So I thought you guys wouldn't mind strengthening the voice of my prayer tonight.
My little buddy (my DN - 3 yrs old) is in the hospital. They took her in at 3am yesterday morning because she'd been sick and running a fever since Tuesday. She was dehydrated, and her fever was high, so they admitted her. I went to see her last night because she was asking for me (talk about melting someone's heart), and when I got there she had just asked if she could sit up a little and watch cartoons. She and I talked, read a book, she showed me all the "hopsital" things..... how that little tube was dripping water into her "cast"..... etc. and then she stuck her thumb in her mouth and I rubbed her head while she relaxed for a while. My DB said she was perking up a bit.... and it seemed like she was.... she smiled a lot and told me she was "feelin' much better". By the time I left though, she was losing ground and her fever was spiking again. They thought that they may release her today if all went well, but this morning she had some setbacks, and they're keeping her. Okay, I LOVE this child.... can you tell. (I just know you would all fall in love with her too if you met her).
Anyway, I just thought maybe if you didn't mind remembering her with some prayers (and PD if you so choose), I would appreciate that. It may be a simple bug that took her down harder than normal, but there is so much crazy and scary stuff out there that it tends to scare you a little. God has blessed my family so much with health and safety, that sometimes you forget Who it comes from and start to take it for granted.
We call her Co-Co, and we sure would like her up and running around again soon.
Thank you!!!
Sorry, this got a bit longer than I intended it to.
