I've messed up!

I'm taking DH away to Dublin for his birthday in a couple of weeks and I've just realised i've messed up, as the flight is very early Saturday morning i'd booked the Gatwick Hilton for Friday night when it was on offer, however we are flying from Heathrow!!!!!!!!!!!!



I've just rung up and asked if I can change but it would be an extra £100

I think the bigger bright side is that you realised now and not when you went to check-in with just an hour or two before the flight departs. At least you know and can still make it to the correct airport on time.

The coach between Gatwick and Heathrow takes about 75 mins, I live closer than that to Heathrow so kind of defeats the point of staying over so that we can get up a bit later.

The flight is at 0645.

Think i'm going to have to bite the bullet and pay unless they take pity on me but can't see it somehow.

Oh hun, we've all done things like that. Don't dwell on it, just pay the £100 (I know, it's annoying) then go and have a lovely time

Success of sorts! I've convinced them to refund my money, but the Hilton Heathrow was more than double the cost of the Gatwick one.

Didn't ask but I have no plans to go again soon so i've just gone with the Heathrow one and sucked up the extra cost.
