I've messed up!

I'm taking DH away to Dublin for his birthday in a couple of weeks and I've just realised i've messed up, as the flight is very early Saturday morning i'd booked the Gatwick Hilton for Friday night when it was on offer, however we are flying from Heathrow!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've just rung up and asked if I can change but it would be an extra £100 :headache:

Feeling like a right idiot right now :guilty:
 
Ok don't feel bad, we have all done something likevthis at one stage or another
 
Oh no :hug: but look on the bright side, it could have been £200 to change.
 
I think the bigger bright side is that you realised now and not when you went to check-in with just an hour or two before the flight departs. At least you know and can still make it to the correct airport on time.

I hope you can sort something out... is it not possible to still stay there then travel to Heathrow or are your flights too early on Saturday to make it feasilble?

The coach between Gatwick and Heathrow takes about 75 mins, I live closer than that to Heathrow so kind of defeats the point of staying over so that we can get up a bit later.

The flight is at 0645.

Think i'm going to have to bite the bullet and pay unless they take pity on me but can't see it somehow.
 
:hug: Oh hun, we've all done things like that. Don't dwell on it, just pay the £100 (I know, it's annoying) then go and have a lovely time ::yes::
 
They won't let me change now so I'm going to have to forfit the nearly £100 i've already spent :sad1:

Anyone want to stay at the Gatwick Hilton on July 22nd on me?
 
I've sent them another e-mail as I'm not very happy with one of the reasons they've given me.
 
Success of sorts! I've convinced them to refund my money, but the Hilton Heathrow was more than double the cost of the Gatwick one.
 
How about another hotel or did you really want the Hilton?
