I've got myself in a waitlist pickle!!

We are going to our home resort, BCV, in May. I had to change the ressie in November to a 2-bedroom dedicated with 2 queens in second room as mom and grandma are joining us. Well, they only had Sunday through Thursday morning in the dedicated with queens, and we waitlisted for Thursday and Friday night. The problem is, we were waitlisted separately, and Friday night came through...no such luck with Thursday night yet. That means two moves at the end of the trip!

What are the chances that we can even hope for that dedicated 2 queens to come available for Thursday night? I'm tempted to try to switch Friday night back and we'd only have to move Thursday morning....

I think it is too early to start taking drastic measures. It is a hard reservation to get, for sure, but you have lots of time so just wait it out.

No the reservation is for May. But the OP made a change to the reservation in November.

I would hold tight and call MS from time to time. It's funny how something always seems to pop up for people that call. I wouldn't start worrying until you get closer to the 30 day mark. We go in May quite often and have even added an extra day after we got there. Don't count on something like that, but we have done it in the past. Are you going in the first part of the month? That will probably make some difference. We always go sometime in the first two weeks.

Have you tried to see if Thursday night is available on cash? Either through MS with a discount or even through CRO.

If you have it booked, at least you can link the reservations and most likely (although not guaranteed) you won't have to move. Then if the waitlist comes through you can just cancel the cash reservation.

You may not have been planning on having to spend $$$, but if it's worth it not to move, it might be worth a try!

I just had a wait list come though at 60 days out...remember this is a really busy time for MS(Christmas 08). Plus you have gotten 2 other great ideas. I would still wait, but try for the cash accomidation, since it can be cancelled.

I would also just sit tight for a while. A lot of people cancel at the last minute.

I always stay in a 2 bedroom at BCV with a cash night on one end of the trip and MS doesn't allow you to book a dedicated room on cash, only lock-offs. So that wouldn't work for you since you have the dedicated room booked. At least that is how it has always been for me. Booking through CRO might work though. Good luck!
