I've Got Bursitis

So after years of whining about my knee and hip hurting, I finally went to see the doctor. Fairly certain I have a bad knee and will some day need knee replacement surgery or somesuch.

He feels of my knees, then presses on a spot in my hip and immediately my knee twinges. . .

I have Bursitis in my hip that's making my knee hurt! There is nothing, nothing, nothing wrong with my knee.

So while I am now officially old, I am also - once the bursitis is cleared up - free to do whatever the heck I feel like doing - run, spin etc.!

Wheeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!! 5K's here I come!

Did he recommend PT for your bursitis? I had it in my hips and did the PT and was amazed how quickly it worked! I felt better in a matter of weeks!

I'm on anti-inflammatories and if that doesn't completely clear things up (he doesn't think it will, but wants to give it a chance) then I get a steroid shot in the hip. My mom has bursitis she gets a shot every time her hip acts up.

Still. Some pills or a simple shot and then I can be as active as I want?
