So, I had to wait until this week to order my tickets (I know, many thought that I was just being wishy-washy about the EE and how many days), but I was finally able to order them from getawaytoday.com. I ordered the 4 day passes and will get the two EE's! So happy!
I got my Unofficial Guide to DL from Amazon this week too! Returned the 2007 book to the library.
I got one Toontown Madness ticket from a very generous Dis-er, so dd (2 yrs.) and I will go one day.
I have reservations at ONE hotel now. haha Emailed the Desert Inn to ask how much it would be to add two more nights to my ressies I made back in August. The very nice Marcy gave me two more nights at the $99 rate I had back in August, as opposed to the $130 rate offered now! So nice!! We are in a parlor suite so the early risers can go in the parlor in the morning. And I like the milk offered for free in the continental breakfast (Tropicana charged for it and didn't have a suite available). I know parking will be tight, but we only have the one rental car.
I made dining reservations for each day. Goofy's Kitchen, Ariel's Grotto (for dd), Blue Bayou (for Ds's), and Carnation Cafe (just cause the food sounds good). I need to figure out who has a birthday bucket for sure so that we can go there the last day for DH's birthday. Does Carnation Cafe have them, anyone?
I'm just really excited! (Can you tell??) There were a lot of times when it looked like we might have to cancel our trip (and eat the loss of the plane tickets), so I'm happy we are finally committed!
We have year round school here in NC, so we are going out for two weeks while the twins are tracked out of school in November. Four days in DL, 6 in San Diego (two days at Seaworld, and two days at Legoland w/ a coupon from another generous Dis-er), and then 3 days in AZ where we fly back home after visiting with family.
Can't wait! 1st time to DL after having been to WDW. I love that we are staying so close to the parks. Its just awesome. Can walk without a shuttle bus, go back to the hotel whenever we like. Eat outside the park if need be. And love the extra FL rides! We spend lots of time there with little people in our family. And I love character meals. *I* do. Its supposed to be for the kids, but its really for ME!! lol
Sorry for a long, rambly, pointless post about our trip, but I don't have anyone else to share with my excitement! Everyone just says, 'You're going to Disney AGAIN?!?'
Why would I go anywhere else?
