I've gone and booked the hotel before the flights are even out (only 1 more day anyway!!) :lmao:
Funnily enough we had whittled it down to either Staybridge Suites or Howard Johnson. The only thing that swayed it initially to Staybridge was the breakfast, but having thought about that vs within walking distance of Disneyland - we opted for the closer hotel as the breakfast choice would be restrictive as we go out fairly early in the morning!!

So based on people's recommendations its - HoJo!!

I'm soooo excited as we've never been to Disneyland or California :woohoo:.

We decided to stick to 1 base rather than move about. We figured going to Universal we could be out of the room early that day and as to visiting Hollywood etc. we can just go with the flow as we won't be restricted to times.
This is going to be far more relaxing than a holiday to WDW, but I still get my disney fix!!
Here's to the next 10 months of finding info and planning our California Adventure!! :dance3:

It all looks very exciting! Here's wishing you good flight prices to bring the deal to perfection! :wizard:

Yeah - just waiting till tomorrow when return flights for the saturday we need are available, but looks like we'll be doing a 1 stop flight via Philadelphia (which we did last year) as US Airways are currently coming up with a cost of £3800 approx. for 5 of us from Manchester on their US site, whereas virgin are about £4277 from Heathrow - which then adds a journey both before and after a flight.
Will look at other US airlines too for the cheapest.

We're driving all around California next June, ending with 4 nights in Anaheim (we went for Park Vue as we do want the breakfast!!) so we can plan together!!:goodvibes

Haha - don't count on it!:goodvibes

We stayed at the HoJo (in one place the same as you this year) - we ended up going on a few trips - US, Hollywood, Universal, Woody Beach bus - didn't get to do Knotts Berry farm - maybe next time. Great places to eat within walking distance - don't forget about Garden Walk. We're being lured back to WDW this year for the free dining - we would go back to DLR as we have AP's till 11th July but won't be able to fit the time in before they expire (college/work committments). If you need anything specific please ask.

Sounds fantastic! I'd love to go to the California parks one day, how long is the flight?
