that when i have kids, i'll take care of them from birth to 1, and then 3 to adulthood. their dad can take care of them from 1-2

The "terrible twos" usually start before the 2nd birthday, and do not end until well after the 3rd (or 4th).

Jessica is right! I would suggest that you take care of them from birth to 18 months, let the father have 18 months to 18 years and then you can take over again!!

From the mother of a difficult 3 yo...YES, the 3s are worse than 2s. I found it true with DS#1 too.

My DD was great until she was about 3-3 1/2. Once she hit 4 things were better.

DS on the other hand hit about 20 mos. and has been a terror! I cannot wait until this terrible 2s stage is over!

Another vote for the 3's being worse than the 2's -- DS wasn't too bad for most of his 2nd year, it's now that he's close to 3 yrs. old that he's developed an attitude.
