My daughters favorite snack at the parks is that rainbow ice pop the itzakadoodle. We got the dining plan 2 years ago and from what I remember the pop wasn't on the plan. The only ice cream cart snack on the plan were the micker mouse ice cream pops. Anyone know if this has changed and if the itzakadoodle is now a covered snack on the dining plan?

I think they've changed what constitutes a "snack". When we visited in Nov 2005, our choices were very limited, but from these posts it look like just about anything under $4 is considered a snack. I'm loving this as we're not big breakfast eaters and plan to use our snack credits for breakfasts. I've read people are getting soft serve ice cream as well - my kids would much prefer this to the mickey mouse pop...

I think that's what I am seeing too. I just wanted to be sure. We did the meal plan in may of 05 and found it to be very restrictive on snacks. Basically it felt like you got an ice cream or popcorn (I am being a little sacrastic here but it really felt that restrictive). And we figured the meal plan wasn't worth it but now it seems to be opening up more and maybe worth a second try.

My daughter loves itzakadoodles and says all the time she can't wait to go to Disney so she can have one!

We've never had these - we'll have to try in April:banana:

I know this probably sounds strange, but the change in the snack option is what definitely decided me on the DDP. I'm not happy with what I'm hearing about the kids CS meal choices, but I figure the TS and the snack are more than worth the price!

doesn't sound strange to me at all because beleive it or not it was the lack of snack options that turned us off. we do the TS meals anyway and spend at least the same amount we would if we did the plan. So to use the plan wasn't worth it because we would spend more by buying snacks not on it. But if they we have more snack options then the plan may actually work well for us.

My DS8 got one just about every day last May (9 day trip) & we used a snack credit for it every time!!
