I have downloaded the itunes onto my computer. I have signed in and have been looking through the site getting familiar with it for when my DD's get their ipod touch for Christmas I will know a little about it. But still very confused:confused3. Yesterday I was on there and looking at the apps and on there has an option to click for iphone or ipad but not ipod. So where is the option for ipod?

hmmmm... I was on yesterday doing the same =) You should have the option at the very beginning. Most games all work on each of them, but for the iPhone there are apps specific for it as well as the iPad. Sorry I am not being much help BUT I promise you will be able to wiz thru this all in no time iTunes is easy to get use to in my opinion =)

For the most part, iPhone apps will work on the iPod Touch. The exception to that would be the ones that are dependent on having service no matter where you go, like GPS.

Hope this helps!

if you purchased touches then 99% of iphone apps will work.

Also make sure you download the app "free app a day". It shows every day what "paid" app is now free. We have gotten some fun things that way.

I don't know how old your DD is but if you go to "TV shows" there is usually some things there that are free also. (for kids or adults.. usually some HGTV type decorating shows, or undercover boss that my kids like.)

Have fun!

when you go to the description page for a specific app there is a column down the left side.. where the price and purchase button is. Somewhere in that column will be a section labeled "Requirements". That section states which device(s) the app will work on. It will say something like "Compatible with iphone, ipod touch, and ipad" and then specify a minumum iOS version.

As noted above, just about any app that works on the iphone will work on the ipad touch with the exceptions noted above. The one to watch is to make sure that you don't select an ipad only app. Some apps have split and have two versions.. the ipad version and the iphone/ipod touch version, and there are some that are ipad only.

Another help is on the main itunes store app page there is a button at the top that selects iphone or ipad. For your purposes you want to select the iphone option.

Hope that Helps... and it will of course make more sense once you actually start using itunes.
