We have had our iTunes account and library on a single computer. We now have a second computer. Can I transfer the library to the second computer? How do I do this?

(I have already selected home sharing on the new computer and authorized it, but I'm afraid to sync my iPhone with the new computer since it doesn't have anything in the itunes library--I'm afraid it will erase everything on my Iphone. I just don't know how it all works.)

Can't you back it up by saving your files to a memory stick first, then trying to sync it?

There is a way to do this. Fastest way is with an external hard drive. You can copy the entire music folder onto the external hard drive, from the first computer. Hook up the external hard drive to the second computer and copy the music folder. Then open iTunes and import the folder.

If you don't have an external hard drive, you can do this with a flash drive as well. Only difference is, if you don't have enough memory on your flash drive, you will have to do it a little at a time.

You don't even need an external hard drive if the computers are close together, or if at least one is a laptop so they can put together - but you need the right kind of wire to transfer the data, depending on what types of computers you have.
