iTunes and new computer question

We're adding a new computer to our home to handle all the songs, pictures, etc that DD had purchased from iTunes, and to free up space on my older computer.

How do we/or can we transfer all the purchased items from the one computer to the other?? Thanks for any help you can give this non-computer person.

Also, will it matter if the old computer operates with Windows XP, and the new one it Windows Vista.?

The new computer will count against the maximum total iTunes allows each user to use for their service.

The format of the songs has not changed so the OS of the computer will not be a problem.
