It's Transformers! (didn't see that one coming...)

Does anyone think there is anyway the ride will be different than the one in LA in any slight way? I mean the Mummy rides are different, so maybe this one will be since its identical to Spiderman

Apparently it is identical other than the outside of the building....but we can always hope!

why are my posts duplicated?
i feel like i am in the twilight zone now.

Vewwwy, vewwwy, scawwwwy.

I haven't seen many of the movies that the Universal rides are about. It works well, hahahaha.

There are two minor differences: there's no room of fire in the LA version and the queue/exterior is different.

All things considered, regardless of me not being thrilled by the announcement, I'll most likely be in line next summer.

I meant between the three Transformers rides.

The mummy ride at USF is very different from the one at USH. At USH, you go backwards in the second half of the coaster ride. The fire room is the bug room, the beginning is different too. Very different rides.

We're not going to get as lucky with the Transformers rides being different, it doesn't seem. But like you, I'll be excited to ride it!

I am excited about any new additions to any park. Maybe this new ride will do away with no express option at rip ride rock it. Was at universal for 4 nights and never got to ride it quite frankly with the express u get spoiled and don't want to wait and while we woke up early for Harry potter we didn't for rip ride at least with potter there are more than one thing to do. Anyway I'm hopeful transformer ride will do away with the lack of express for rip ride.

I am extremely excited! We LOVE the Transformers movies and I have been wishing they would open it in Florida cause we don't go to California. I just wish it was opening by late May as we are taking my 10yr old brother then and he would have loved it.

I went to the park tonight for the announcement. Using the cinespec lagoon show was an awesome way to announce this. They should do that type of thing more often. They had the normal preshow for it, which kept on getting "itnerference" then toward the start of the show it took over and the water screens showed the logo (using the waterfall patterns) and then went into the video. This was really well done. (Followed by the normal show)

All the workers on the construction site (which is already 3 levels high!) Stopped and watched it line up along the top floor, and the crane operator adjusted the crane to watch it too.

Afterwards they had a bunch of tv cameras and brought out some amazing looking robot characters in front of the Universal globe in front of the park.

Transformers is a great ride and a good addition to the park. Love riding it here in California and looking forward to it in Florida as well.

We were there too and thought the "incoming message" interuptions over the park loudspeakers leading up to the show was a neat touch. At the lagoon for the show, there were people standing near us who thought something was going wrong with the lighting on the screens when the music crackled and became full of static. We saw the crowd gathering around the globe outside afterwards, so stayed to see what would happen. Loved seeing the giant transformers come out!

I'm about 10 times more excited about what's going in the old Jaws area as it will be something unique, highly themed along with the possibility of another awesome indoor coaster and finally, how they're going to pull off a themed train ride from park to park, that has me seriously intrigued. The Transformers not so much,I've seen videos of the queue and ride at USH and all I saw was a boring building front with a sign,a queue line with a bunch of buttons and lights and a ride almost identical to Spider Man.I however have no complaints because it's a new ride in a building that wasn't being used,no old rides were harmed or removed in the building of this attraction so I will be in line to ride it summer of 2013.

I think that this is a good choice. The acting might be bad in the movies but the robots are wildly popular and these movies make a ton of money. I think that the name value will attract more visitors.

transformers is not what i would have chosen to be put into the studios.
the movie made a lot of money.
Michael Bay makes great action movies.

the actors in the transformer movie ruined it for me.
thought they were awful.

but, i am a ride ***** and will ride any ride in the parks.

when transformers is open to the public, i will be in that line to ride it.

And Nickleback makes great music....

Sorry Mac, just ribbing ya. :)

well..............

crud.

I wanted MINION ANAMATRONICS. "visit the Gru House with Gru's girls"
or something like that.

or, really, I wanted LOR and Mordor. anything LOR would have been nice.

transformers? so two years ago. :surfweb:

wait a minute!

Universal should build The House on Haunted Hill(the original was a Vincent Price Classic)
that would send a few shivers down a few spines!

I'm glad Universal finally announced what many people already knew or had a good idea about so I'm underwhelmed by the whole "major" announcement. I thought we would hear about HP2 and maybe some other things coming down the pike. I read another post on the DIS that stated maybe Universal didn't play it's full hand last night and I wonder if that's true? I certainly hope more announcements are coming in the near future.
