We left off at tickets and kids asking are we there yet! No Kayla, we obviously are not there yet! It was at this point that we decided it was time for food! I was hoping to ry a new place this year or just do McDonalds to save time and money. john was NOT having it! He said no way to McD's! (normally I do to, but come on on, the breakfast isn't that bad!)
At 8:30 we stopped at the Cracker Barrel, which I have kindly renamed the "Crapper Barrel". I said last year we wouldn't go back, and I am saying it again! We are NOT going back there! Although, I do love starting my vacation shopping in their awesome little shop! I feel so torn! But honestly, the food made ALL of us feel narsty , last year and this year! No need to feel that way ever again!
While we waited for food, Jack and I played that jump over the stick game thingy they give you:

Well I have played this game a lot.. and I neverrr ever do well. I always have 2 or 3 left over! Well I play 2x with jack and both times we win! I think Jack may be a genius, because he di most of the game!!
When we weren't playing fun games we were busy snapping corny obligatory shots of each other LOL
For some reason, I have no pics of the food here

I really swore that we took pics! Funny side note. I used my awesome new DSLR for almost all pics, and when the flash went off, people looked at us like we were celebs!! People came from other rooms to see what was going on. They were pretty disappointed when they realized it was just some family from the north using their fancy new camera and being obnoxious
I do have written down what we ate... french toast for Kayla, John had french toast also, but his included eggs, bacon and biscuits! Jack and I split pancakes, with eggs and bacon (no eggs for Jack though..he's still allergic to fresh eggs). i also ordered a side of cheesy hash browns. I was shocked when she brought out my side! Not only was it almost $3.00, but it was the smallest side of anything I had ever seen! I thought surely, she gave them to me for free! NOPE! I got charged the almost $3.00! wenches!
Our total bill was $28.16, after shopping in their country store, the total was 60.22! ( In case you are wondering, Kayla got a webkinz and a webkinz key chain, and I got a few x-mas ornaments!) again, no pics.. jeesh, what good am I??
At 9:54 we were FINALLY back on the road AGAIN! but oh wait, we still had to stop for gas!1 so at 9:57 we stopped and got gas!
This is when the road trippin part gets rough! Kids are WIDE awake and stokeddd for Disney! We are so sleeepy and just can not wait to get to Disney so we can stop driving!
As you can see, John was getting a little looney!
Eventually we saw this:
Thank you jeebus!!
Kayla's reaction to crossing over
Then the trip got boring again, and the anticipation level was almost unbearable! All our friends were there at this point and we couldn't wait to just get there and give hugs and high fives!! but if you have driven before, you know there was still a ways to go!
Some pics so you can feel like you were there...
*Continued in next post!
