Will be at POR on my honeymoon from June 3 - 10th as part of an extended land and sea package. With a 4 day cruise to the Bahamas on the Wonder. WOO HOO!!

A question for people who have been recently.

My Dfi and I have ADR for V & A and the Spirit of Aloha. We were told while making the reservations that there is a boat from the POR to the GF and to the POLY. Is this true? I have not seen it mentioned elsewhere on the boards. This might be especially useful since I am looking at getting a taxi for V & A. I don't want to have to go to one of the parks and go switching all sorts of buses in my suit and tie! :upsidedow

Thanks!

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding!

There is a boat at POR, but it goes to POFQ and Downtown Disney. Your best bet for getting to the GF and the Poly would be to take a taxi or to take the bus to the MK and then the monorail.

We are staying there next Feb before our DCL. I'm so excited. We added 3 extra days to our land package. So we will be there for 7 mights.

I've seen some pictures of it and they look like a college dorm size...

Yes, that's correct. It was big enough to hold the milk we bought in the general store for our morning cereal (I believe they only sell 1/2 gallons, not gallons), as well as several 20 oz. bottles of water and a carry-out box or two.

Hi!

I leave in 11 Days!!! :cool1:

:cool1: I might have missed it but, is there a hair dryer in the rooms at POR?

We arrive at POR on May 26. Will be there as a Grand Gathering with my children and grandchildren. My daughter gets married on May 31 at Yacht Club Gazebo. Can't wait!! Love POR, we stayed there when it was DL, and have been there 4 times since.
Hope to meet up with the Dream Team but it will be a dream come true even if we dont.

Hi all-

Does POR have a pin trading station at the resort? *Ka-Ching, Ka-Ching* DD wants to know if there is a place she can get pins at the resort. While we were at WL she was a frequent visitor to the pin kiosk.

Thanks in advance!

Just got home yesterday and I didn't notice a pin trading station...but there were pins for sale in the gift shop next to the lobby!

I can't remember if I have asked this before so here goes again! Can you give me a good building recommendation? Close to kiddie pool and bus stops perhaps? It's just going to be myself with the three kiddos so need somewhere convenient. Thanks!!! :)

Just back from a trip May 8-15th...as always, POR was nice and relaxing. Bus service seemed to be VERY slow in comparison to previous stays at this resort. New food court was nice, but I miss the old section with the ribs, chicken, red beans and rice and the Chicken quesadillas. Create your own pasta section was very yummy....ate this a couple of times. I did notice that there were a few items laying around that did not get picked up for several days...for example, a rubber glove layed on the sidewalk for at least 3 days...I did not dare pick it up (as I would have a candy wrapper) for fear of what it had been used for and what might be on it :scared: There is no pin kiosk (usually located in deluxe resorts though), but there are plenty of pins at the gift shop. All-in-all, we had a great trip! Not sure where the Kiddie pool is at, but we stayed in the Acadian House (rm 8051) and we were just a short walk from the room to the main pool, playground, and the north depot bus stop...great location and quiet (except the night the neighbors had a knock-down-drag-out at 2am...but that is another story!) .... we had a standard view room but our view was of the courtyard (nice compared to the parking lot view we had last time). New YOMD refillable cups are being used at this resort (very cute)...however, I cannot believe how many people are still using Dixie Landing cups, old PO cups and even cups from All-stars and various other resorts!! All of this right in front of the CMs that are cleaning the drink station...some people really have nerve!!! We had our old POR cups from previous trips but (as we are supposed to do) we bought our 5 new mugs for our 8 day stay...still well worth it for us. We love POR, but think that we might try WL next trip...hubby fell in love with it and our oldest daughter will probably not be going with us next trip (you know the whole teenage thing...not cool enough)...if she does go, I guess we have to either rent two rooms or stay at a resort that accomadates 5...our baby will be 3 in November. I hope everyone going to POR soon has a great trip!

We really enjoyed the food court last year, I hope they did not change it to much! My son keeps on telling me that he wants the large taco bowl like last year, and I think its gone!

tiggrsbride....
