Nothing new from us. We are at home eagerly awaiting someone to report back on a wonderful trip so that we can live it through them.

Nothing from us, but we will be heading out to POR for the first time in 16 days!!!! I'm so excited, but I've still so much to do. So you'll have to wait until after we return to hear anything from me! :goodvibes

Hey we are checking in the same day!! Can't wait! Just 2 days, till we can say 2 weeks!

We were in building Aligator Bayou 18, second floor, 1842 was the room. It was nice, I think it was meant to look like a log cabin on the inside by way of decoration - 2 beds that looked like they were made from logs, one with a trundel bed, 2 sinks, a large 2 door cabinet that held the TV and several large drawers, a table and 2 chairs.....I wish I took pictures, I meant too.

We looked out over beautiful landscaping and were a short walk from a quite pool. A little bit longer walk to the main pool but not a bad walk at all. Close to the main building and the FOOD, LOL. WE used snack credits for cinn. rolls! Yummy. Brownies were good but RICH! We only at at the food court a couple of times, and not at Boatwrights at all - had ressies at the parks.
I have pics of the landscaping and pool. but I need to scan them in I took them with a "regular" camera, LOL :)

I very much enjoyed it. :thumbsup2 We took the boat to DTD a couple of times and even to FQ to use the pool. DD wouldn't go on the water slide at POR but I couldn't get her off the one at FQ.

I would stay there again! What else, check in was quick, the luggage person I spoke with was very helpful, Valentine. Concerige answered all my questions
Any Questions ask away. :)

i'm sorry if this doesn't belong here, but does anyone know what kind of credits i can use at the food court at por? i am really hoping to try pralines while there.

My TR is not new but I'm still writing it. My family went at the end of June. We also have 3 children - 2 boys (then 7 & 6) and a girl (then just about 3). Link is in my siggie.
Thanks stranger. I'll pop over right now and check it out! ;)

What type of HVAC do they have in the rooms? Is it the units that are under a window and you turn on when you need heat or cool, or is it a central system with a thermostat?

And if it is an under the window kind of thing, just how loud are they? I cannot sleep with any kind of noise in the room.. :scared: ... even when using earplugs!

under the windows... I didnt find them loud at all.

Thanks for your answer, and yikes! I guess I won't be sleeping much this trip. It's a choice of either being cool enough and not sleeping because of the noise, or having it off and not sleeping because of being hot. DH & the kids can sleep through anything, so they'll be fine. Oh well...

I guess that this is another reason to stay in a deluxe when you can afford it!

When we were at POR in August my youngest DD(4) who was in the bed with me woke me up our first night to tell me that the AC was scaring her. It was really loud. I reassured her and we went back to sleep-at least I did. The next day when we got back from the parks we noticed that there a whole new AC unit. We hadn't called or anything-maybe the mousekeeping staff noticed. It was nice & quiet! We were there for 10 nights and on our last day someone knocked on our door to check to see if we had a new AC-they were replacing all of them at the resort. Maybe if yours is loud you could complain about it. Good Luck!!!:wizard:

Has anyone ever requested a rollaway bed here? Will there be enough room to put one? My husbands a big guy and my son is a big guy, so that leaves me sleeping in the tub!:lmao:

Trundle beds are only in the Alligator Bayou section.. just make sure you request it... since they are hold a family of 5 they will go to larger families first.

Oh no thats ok I can understand that. We are staying in the FQ. I didn't think that they had trundles. I heard that they are tiny beds for young kids. I just figured if we could get a rollaway we would all get some sleep, ya know!

I would like to get one of the rollaways for our trip next August. We are planning on staying at the FQ. There will only be three of us. Can you tell me how much these are to rent? Where in the room will these fit? Can you leave them open during the day, or do they have to be closed up for Housekeeping?
