Good morning from Poly!!!

Gosh I love this place!!!! Not staying here last year makes me appreciate being here that much more!!

We off to MK today. We had hoped to be there by rope drop but we will be a few minutes late. Close enough. Our plan is to ride some rides, check out the new Fantasyland expansion (so excited!!!!!) get some lunch at BOG then return to the resort for some relaxation.

Whew!!! What a day!!! Here's what it was like:

Quick bite to eat at Capt Cooks before heading off to MK. Got there at 9:07. Did the new Ariel ride and checked out the new Fantasyland expansion. Did Small World, Space Mountain, POTC, Buzz, and I think that's it. By that time it was so hot and crowded, we decided to head back to the resort. Had some lunch and swam until it started raining. Dd got a hair wrap and we showered and relaxed in the room. We had a 6:35 ADR at LTT so we headed back, rode Splash (in the rain) then ate dinner. Very yummy!!! I have gluten allergy so the wonderful chef brought me GF rolls and made my plate special without stuffing and brought GF gravy too. Had raspberry sorbet for dessert.

It rained from 3:00 on, not the whole time but a lot of it. Very hot and humid later in the day.

The pool was very crowded I thought.

I wonder how many of those people at the pool are ACTUALLY staying at the Polynesian! They really need to enforce the wristbands! For the price you pay to stay at the Polynesian they really need to make it more exclusive.

Thank you!!! I couldn't agree more! We really wondered the same thing, but no one was checking. I thought about getting a cabana but we don't really have a whole day dedicated to the resort, so I didn't really think that would work. Tables are difficult if not impossible to find.

We just finished breakfast at Chef Mickey's. So far during our stay we have not waited more than a minute or two for the monorail. Chef Mickey's was not insane and we were in and out in an hour. We came outside to get the bus to DD and it had just pulled up. We will be at DD earlier than expected.

We plan to do some shopping, them head over to Disney Quest (which we have never done before) so we are really looking forward to that. We have dinner at Flying Fish tonight. This is another first for us. I have read rave reviews about the food here so we are excited to try it.

That small pool is the only downside to the Poly!! I hate how crowded it gets and don't understand why they didn't enforce anything when we were there. I think they were just trying to implement the bands that trip. SAB does it so why can't they?

Are you on DDP? Can you find out if the entree duo is available in DDP for me pls? We have dinner there 9/13 for our anniversary and have our hearts set on that dish..

From Down Town Disney? Youll have to take a bus to the Boardwalk Inn and then walk from there.. The bpat from DTD only goes to POR, POFQ, SSR ( I think)

I'm so sorry I have no pics right now. I just didn't have the chance.

Today we spent the first part of the day at DD, them went to Disney Quest. Fun shopping, and this was our first visit to DQ, so it was pretty interesting.

We had a 6:00 at Flying Fish, so we left DD by 5:00. I was amazed how long it took to get from DD to Boardwalk!!! For what it's worth, that bus goes first to TL, then to Swan, then Dolphin, then to Yacht, then to Beach, then to Boardwalk. If anyone is planning to go to Boardwalk from DD, leave yourself plenty of time!!!

The food and service were excellent! This was our first visit to FF, and we will definitely be back!

After that we came back to the resort and swam.

So today, somehow we managed to get out of the room and get to Epcot by 8:07. EMH today.

By 8:11, TT was 40 minutes as well as Soarin. We got a FP for Soarin, dh and dd did mission space and we waited the 30 minutes (wasn't quite 40) for TT. First time for us since the refurb so we thought it was super cool. Can anyone guess what color a 10 year old girl would make her car???

After TT we did Nemo, Living with the Land and Soarin, which was still at least a 20 min wait with FP but at least wasn't the 110 minute stand by time.

We hit Mouse Gear and spent $40 on Jelly beans and a mug.

Back to the resort for some swimming and guess what they did today???

Woohoo!!! I thanked the CM for doing that.

We did not have any dinner plans for today, but with the help of the Disney app, we were able to secure a Rosé and Crown just in time for Illuminations!!! I'm so excited!!!
