It's that time of year....

Found money time! At least here in the midwest it is. Could finally take the dogs for a walk due to the snow melting and the salt being off the sidewalks. And it's FINALLY semi-warm... We started our money search last year at the end of March after reading a thread like this one on this board. Our found money total for the year including the 51c found tonight... $5.32! I know it's not a fortune, but hey, that's enough for a snack for our trip!

Like pick up money off the ground found money? If so, my kids are highly skilled at that. Lol. They pick up money constantly.

Yep, exactly like money found on the ground! This time of year in areas that it snows enough for plowing is a gold mine. Check the corners of parking lots and drain areas. The change gets pushed around by the plow and ends up in those areas. The local high school parking lot is a huge money maker!

I love finding money! Even if it's just change, I love it!!

My daughter looked out our kitchen window and into our parking lot and saw "a bill" on the ground. I told her to hurry up and run downstairs to get it. She didn't want to. I told her if I go down and get it, it's mine. I ended up going down and it was $20. I told her I was keeping it but ended up giving it to her later on. If she wouldn't have looked out the window, no one would have known it was there.

Another time, I was at the laundromat. I was taking my clothes out of the washer and checking for any stray items and found $60 (3 20s). It definitely wasn't mine --- someone who used the machine must have forgotten to check their pockets before doing laundry!

I wish I could get this lucky all the time!!! Mostly, I only find coins or $1 bills.

I wish I could get as lucky as you! I never find bills. Change only. I'm hoping the lottery tickets we bought during our walk tonight will be as profitable as our walk

DH and I were recently listed in the paper, under unclaimed property! With our old address from 18 years ago!

We have NO idea how much $$ is coming to us, we filed and now we just wait.

Could be just a few dollars, and I don't expect much, but it is fun to dream.
