It's SNOWING

Its been snowing on and off all day today and is showing no sign of thawing. Its the worst snow we've had for quite a few years

We had no more snoiw but it went down to -6 here last night. It took me an hour to get the yard gate open this morning, It's electirc and the gears had frozen solid. We ended up pushing it open with a forklift truck!

It hasnt snowed here again either but it hasnt thawed either. I spent an hour this morning scraping it off my car, de-icing the windows, and digging the car out and still couldnt get it off the drive so gave up.
I did manage to get it out later though

Throwing it down with snow here agai, everything covered - again!! Starting to feel very nervous for our flight to Tenerife> it's not till saturday so finger's crossed!

It's supposed to warm up a bit towards the weekend, Verity, so hopefully you should be OK. Fingers crossed for you babe

I am hoping the roads stay clear so Nat and John can get down OK on Saturday

Our snow was almost all gone today but around an hour ago I noticed that it was snowing again and it hasn't stopped - its, SO HEAVY, like a blizzard, I've never seen snow like it! Really worried that we will be snowed in over Christmas, I'm supposed to be singing the mass on Christmas Day at church and my parents and I have arranged to have dinner with some of our family on Christmas Day at my Aunt's and if I don't get to see my Gran on Christmas Day, I will be so sad, she is very poorly and in her 90's and their phone line is down so its not like we can even call her - I think I will have to walk all the way if I have to to see her! I've always wanted a White Christmas, looks like wishes do come true and when they do they come true in A BIG WAY!

Most of the snow is starting to clear but as we have had rain & - temps it has turned the roads into ice rinks. Our 1st 2 jobs were to overturned cars, fortunately everyone got out of them & a crew were extremely lucky to walk away unscathed from their overturned ambulance today when they were answering a 999 call

Came out of Asda last night and it was snowing here for the first time! just a slight covering left now...
