Its raining today - what should I do?

Hi

Landed in Kissimmee yesterday - woke up at some silly time this morning and was planning to goto Disney today............BUT...............

The local weather says the rain is in for the day ! Not the usual 15 min down pour I am used to............so what should I do?

Was thinking of Premium Outlet................what are Lake Buena Vista Fctory Stores like?

Any other suggestions?

It's going to rain every day you are there, it's September! Go to the parks and have fun. The rain won't last long. Buy a poncho at WDW if you don't have one and you will be set for the rest of the trip.

Both of those are outdoor malls, so you may be better off with somewhere like the Florida Mall, Mall at Millenia or Festival Bay. The Loop is newer than Premium Outlets and LBV Factory Stores, but it's also outdoor.

Looks as though the rain will be far more localised tomorrow.

No its not lke the odd downpour today...........its in for all day!

Would rather leave Disney till its a bit drier........they are predicting street flooding.

So any more suggestions...........I do not have a car by the way.

Okay is it far in a cab to Florida mall ?

I am in Best Western Lakeside on 192 - APPROX 2 miles from wdw main entrance.

Which is the biggest/best indoor mall?

The biggest is the Florida Mall, but I prefer the Mall at Millenia, which is very swanky and lots of great places to eat.

There's not much in it distance-wise from where you are. A taxi won't be cheap - I'd guess at least $30 each way.

Yes, that's right. The Loop is about the same distance from you.

Just had another thought - what about the cinema? Those at Downtown Disney, Celebration and Pointe Orlando are all reasonable travelling distance.

Try and find a Lynx bus stop. There is one opp Formosa Gardens on 192
The lynx buses are used by the locals.. Go all over the place and a fraction of the cost!!

You can get lynx 37 to Floridall mall from I Drive, anywhere before wet N wild. Should be okay near sandlake for this.

Hi guys,

DH and i flew in on Monday into Miami and drove across to our first base in Naples through torrential rain - you know the type where you can't see the road and your wipers are going at 100 mph!! Unfortunately the forecast is not good for the next few days at the very least - rain rain and more rain. We always come in September and i guess have always been lucky with loads of lovely sun. We head up to Orlando on Friday for 10 days, so i'm hoping to get all my shopping out of the way and keep my fingers crossed for better weather next week

Ahh Dave I feel for you, hope it clears soon.

Today I have been feeling kinda depressed as it's our 1 year anniversary, this time last year we were in the GF having our pictures taken!! Can't believe were not in the world for the 1st one...

We spent 6 weeks in Orlando last year and only had one day of rain and that was this day! rained all afternoon and evening (just after we arrived at the living seas for the reception) hope it gets better for you!

Wish I was there rain or not.

Universal Studios is a good place to go when it is raining because all its main rides apart from Jaws are inside.
