It's official!!!!

I'm pathetic. I'm having a pampered chef party, and a recipe calls for crescent dough. I had to have a neighbor open the package because I'm scared to death of the pop as the package opens!!! Thank God I live in a friendly neighborhood!!!

I find if I whack it on the edge of the counter it doesnt scare me as much.

Somewhere - someone (I can't remember who) on the DIS has a tag about being afraid of biscuit cans - so you are not the only one.

The first person that pops into my mind when I think of biscuit cans is my wife. She refuses to open biscuit cans because of the little "pop" that the make. Scares her for some reason. If I wasn't around to open them I guess she would go biscuitless.

I absolutely refuse to even be in the same room when DH opens them. If he isn't home I take them next door to DMIL. I hate them.

These posts are cracking me up!! I have the same fear!! I always make DH2B do it. I think it's worse because I KNOW it's coming. I can feel my heart just beating like crazy because of the anticipation!!

OOh, I feel so adventurous! I hate roller coasters but I LOVE opening the cresent rolls. Gives me a thrill every time.

Wow! Didnt know anyone was afraid to open these containers but it did remind me of an article I read some time ago.

A woman had put her groceries in the back seat of her car. Before she had a chance to pull out she heard a loud pop and something hit her in the back of her head. She thought she had been shot. As you guessed, her bisquits has exploded from the heat.

p.s. I think I made that recipe w/the crescent rolls once, if it is like a taco thing. It was good.
