We are Definitely 100% sure we are moving to Florida!!

Ted got the final okay on his job! He can stay with his company and work from our Fla. home!

We have a beautiful apartment all set for Aug. 23rd at Champions Gate... 5 minutes from Celebration.

WDW here we come!!! Ted's wants his FLA license plate on his convertible to be NOMOSNO

We have SO much to do in the next six weeks! Any tips or suggestions????

No suggestions, just wanted to say Congratulations and good luck!!!

Gosh, what kind of suggestions? I've moved three times in the past two years - hoping for move #4 in five months - so if you need moving tips...

Right now - start packing up stuff you don't need. Christmas deocrations, winter clothes, etc., etc. Clean out a corner of a room and start piling boxes. One a night or so.
Soon - contact a moving company to load/take your stuff, or make arrangements for a U-Haul.
Get boxes from WalMart - if you ask the day before, they'll save boxes from the night. You usually have to pick them up around 7 am, and they're broken down, so you'll need lots of packing tape! Don't get bleach boxes - they have a gap in the bottom.
Get a dolly, or two. They help a TON!
Don't pack too heavy - do a half a box of books and top it off with clothes.
In that last frenzy of packing - pack a couple boxes and CLEARLY mark them as first day stuff. Your bedsheets, some dishes and utensils, toiletries, towels, etc, etc go in those boxes. Otherwise you dig through boxes marked "linens" for hours trying to find sheets!

I wish I could talk DH into moving to Florida...I have the perfect job there that I could easily go get, but he thinks he won't make enough money there, even though our combined income would be more than what he makes by himself right now since I'm not working. I just will never be able to talk him into moving there I guess

My advice?? Get yourselves seasonal passes and join in the Florida fun!

I have a suggestion. Make sure you have a guest room and plenty of towels for all the Dissers who need a place to stay!

Welcome. I will be about 4 hours away from you in Tallahassee. Hope you enjoy it here. We have Disney, beaches, and decent weather most of the time. We also get horrible heat and humidity, wild fires, and edge-of-your-seat hurricane seasons, this one which started on June 1.

But every place has it's downside, and I would never live anywhere but Florida. Hoping to move closer to central FL within a few years. Enjoy it, and get that discounted Disney AP!
