It's Official! We're Moving!

This morning, by a 240-0 vote, my dh became the Senior Minister at a new church! We are very excited! We now have the job of selling and buying a home. But by summer we will be living back "home." And we'll only be 30 mins from Cedar Point & Riddle-con!

My special thanks to Dizneenut and her dh and boys for coming to church this morning! We had quite a few friends and family at the second service to help us celebrate. (and no, they didn't stuff the ballot box)

Our church always provides a house for the minister. You mean you have to buy one?

And we, too, always provide the pastor with a parsonage.

Yes jamsmom. In our denomination we receive a housing allowance and subsequently own our home. There are good and bad points to a parsonage versus our situation. But overall we prefer owning. The church dh is going to is the first where we actually had the option of a parsonage. Since the house is ATTACHED to the church with no private garage or private yard we are planning to buy.
