It's official - we're having a Disney wedding!

OK... not officially booked yet, but we've officially decided to really do it. After weeks and weeks of research, mostly lurking on here, going over our personal budget and reading maybe every Disney wedding review ever written, I finally called DFTW on Monday! I'm now just patiently awaiting them to call me back so we can book our date & venues. I was told they'd try to get in touch with me by today, but no such luck.

I just needed to share my excitement with someone other than my fiance! ha.



UPDATE: We're now confirmed for Dec. 1, 2013! Details to come in a planning journal...

Congrats!! I too called DFTW on Monday and am patiently awaiting a response from a consultant- I'm hopeful today is the day I hear something! (They told me within 3 business days anyway) I hope everything works out with what you dreamed! These boards are really great to ease my nerves and to see there are others out there with the same questions I have! Good luck & congrats again!

Im so excited for you

We have also just started this process and waited for our phonecall , and it came on day 3 (working days - not inc weekends). We have had several e-mails back and forth now and will get our phonecall on Monday 4th March to confirm if we have our choice date, venue and time.
Am so excited its ridiculous! My only worry at the moment is the construction going on next to the Wedding Pavillion but Im kinda hoping its all more or less done by end October 13

Congratulations! December 2nd will be our 18th anniversary. Has been a great and lucky date for us. Nice time of year as you can choose a Christmas theme but are not really closely tied to Christmas yet. We did not have a Disney wedding but have been that week and it is a great time to be at WDW. Low crowd levels, nice weather. Good Luck.

We actually ended up booking Dec. 1 instead!

We live on Long Island... I lived in different areas in Manhattan & Brooklyn from about 2004-2012 though (for college and a few years after). Are you from NY too?

I didn't realize construction would still be going on near the WP in the fall -- have you heard anything about when they expect that to be done?

Spoke to Our lady on Wednesday and she said the construction ( as far as she knows) will be finished in July, may still be a bit of landscaping going on at worst in October. It seems to be coming along nicely from the pictures I have seen. I find out tomorrow if we get our date. (We are having an Escape wedding so can't be booked until 8 months out). Fingers and toes crossed for me please

I heard back Friday; I was set on an escape wedding and have a date on hold- October 19! But now the family is throwing a kink in the plans and asking about the 20 people limit... Soooo I may have to change gears a bit and look into a wishes wedding now! Which I haven't researched in the slightest! Hopefully they've got time to answer my new batch of questions and new availability- ill be heartbroken if I have to wait until 2014 but it seems that's the way it might go?! Hope your planning is going well!
