I'm still on the fence. A few months ago my mom gave the go-ahead to us going for my 30th birthday (end of October '14). She's since passed away. Do we go without her?
Hi everyone!! Count us in for October. I am stuggling with dates though. I think we are going to do either Oct 5th - Oct 12th or Oct 19th - Oct 26th. We are DVC and can't book until the 7 month window anyway, but I would still like to know when we're going. Ha. Please chime in on any thoughts you all have!
We are going to do a split stay, 3 days at one resort, one night at universal (2 park days) and then 3 more days at another resort. EXCITED!! I'm hoping for all days at an Epcot DVC, but I know how hard that will be at 7 months!
Our very first trip was in the beginning of October (2011) and it rained 7 inches our fist day there (I was told this was an anomaly for Oct), but by our last day it was absolutely gorgeous!! That's the weather I'm hoping for.
Posted this on theme parks board, but will put here too: (changed our dates, now 10/21-10/30)
We will be there late October for 9 nights, park hoppers, Beach Club.
After doing some thinking, I think we are going to make our fast pass reservations for early to mid afternoon.
My thoughts are we will still get there for rope-drop and ride the headliners early if we can, then go on the "smaller" rides (we don't mind 30-40 minute waits) and then have our fast passes for the headliners again later in the afternoon.
This way we may have chance to ride them twice in one day and also if we're slower moving one morning, won't matter because I made the reservations later.
Sound good? We won't be using the fast pass for anything other than rides.
And our first day I think we will make a fast pass reservation for Soarin' in the evening...we can check in at Beach Club, hang out there, meander over to EPCOT and ride Spaceship Earth and then get the pressure of riding Soarin' over right away!
Comments, suggestions?
Also, we aren't going to make many ADR's. We are doing the quick service dining plan and only have about 3 restaurants for dinner reservations we want to make, the rest will be whatever is open that day, if anything. We don't mind sitting at the bar or eating late (just the two of us this trip).
That sounds like an excellent plan! We did something similar last year when we visited the first week of November. Soarin' in the evening was fun, but TT was awesome. Not having to stress about getting the headliners in was great. Will be trying EE at night in May. Don't forget grazing through the F&W Fest at EP!![]()
Anyone know how accurate are the touringplans.com crowd calender? I am asking because it is showing that during my stay in October, there will be TWO nights where MK will be open until 1 or 2 am, which is pretty excitingAnyone here ever been in a park that late? Whats it like?
I pretty much avoid most of the DIS now (except for my subscribed threads) because all of the negativity with FP+. Honestly, I used it in Dec and LOVED it. So there.

Count me in!! Staying BWV 10/22-27 with my DH, 2 year old and 6 month old. 2 year old is Mickey OBSESSED and this is his 2nd trip to WDW. I'm excited to stay so close to Epcot for our first F&W and to take part in MNSSHP!! Whoop!
