Good: I'm still running with no pain!
Bad: For the first time, Garmin says I'm Unproductive.

(Yes, Garmin, I sprained my ankle and have been focusing on low aerobic activities since. SUE ME!) The best part is I did a recommended threshold workout on Friday to see how my ankle felt while running faster (thankfully, it was fine!), and it was after that it switched to Unproductive. Whatever.
After those first few short, easy runs, I did an hour long run on Sunday. The following week, I did 4 runs - 2.2 miles, 3.2 miles, 3.1 miles, and 7.4 miles. One of them was the aforementioned Threshold run, and I did 3x6 minutes at Threshold heartrate, which translated to 10:34, 11:03, and 11:41 paces. Despite the positive splits, I was proud of being able to run that fast after being injured and while it feels like the surface of the sun. The 7.4 mile run was just under 1:50, and I tested out my new Flipbelt and bottle (with plain water), along with increasing the concentration of Tailwind so I don't have to refill as much during a race. I loved the Flipbelt and bottle, but unfortunately I think I got too big of a belt, since it rode up a bit. I'm going to try the smaller size and see if that works better next time.
I'm trying to slowly increase my mileage so I don't get injured again, so I'll be ready to start marathon training when the time comes. I'm sticking to 4 runs per week with 1 long run on the weekend of at least 10k, as well as two 30-minute strength sessions per week. On Saturdays, I'm doing runner mobility workouts on
Youtube.
I'm pretty sure I'm going to try Galloway customized training for the marathon. I feel like I'm getting into a rut, and would like to try something new training wise. I also looked at Hal Higdon and even the novice training plan was waaaaaay too many miles during the week for me. I know a lot of people dislike the idea of the super long run for Galloway, but it'll be much easier for me schedule-wise. And I'm hoping my son will be doing some sports this fall. They have soccer fields at the park I like to run at, so I could run there while he's playing and break up the monotony.
For other races, they added a half marathon option for the Margaritaville races, but the course support does not look that great. (Not nearly enough water stops for a race at the end of September, plus not a great course in general.) I swore off the 10k last year, but I might use it as a catered training run and do the rest of the mileage around my neighborhood where I won't get dehydrated.
I'm also looking at the Amelia Island half marathon in October, since it's right near a friend's house and we can combine visiting her family with the race. And my son can go to the beach/pool while I'm running.
Also debating Space Coast/Orlando half marathon. I'd like to do both, but I'd also like to try to PR the half during one of those races, so we'll see whatever my schedule calls for.
I'm very impatiently waiting for Princess themes to drop so I know what races I'm going to run that weekend.

Same with Springtime Surprise. Can I hope for Star Wars? Please?
