Every morning for years I have woke up, hugged DS, 4 & asked "Did you sneak into my room last night?" He'd reply "no, why?" I'd answer "because I think you came in while I was sleeping & stole my heart!"

I swear I was just teasing him because I love him so much.

So, the other night I was tucking him into bed & he looked me dead in the eye & said "Mommy, I pwomise not to sneak into your woom & sneak your heart. I pwomise Mommy. I neber will." :rotfl:

I felt so bad. All these years he thought I was accusing him of stealing. Poor thing.

That is such a cute story :cloud9: You should write that in his baby book, if you keep one.

Aw, that is so cute. It is funny how literal they take things sometimes!

NOTE TO SELF: Small children take what we say literally.

So now you'll have to tell him what I tell my kids when I'm tucking them in at night. I tell them, "out of all the kids, in all the world, I am so lucky that I found you." Since they are 10 and 11 now, they tell me, "yeah, we know." They used to tell me, "no, Mommy, we're the lucky ones!"

That's so cute. I always say to my DD's when they leave for school " May the Peace of the Lord be with You." I've been saying this for 15 years. I changed it this week to" may the white light of the Holy Spirit surround & protect you & DD 11 said.

Can you just say goodbye like a normal mom? If I was normal I would but I'm not!

Too cute!

But as my very dear friend says, "It'll all come out in therapy when he's 30."

I've started my children's therapy fund. It might be more important than the college fund. :teeth:

I think you guys are right. I better start a therapy fund! :rotfl: Until then I will just enjoy my adorable 4yo while he's still adorable. :rotfl:
