It's never too late to join the WISH Biggest Loser 5 challenge

I'm in too. This is just what I need to get me started exercising and eating healthy again. Would a teeneager be allowed to join too? I'm going to mention this to my DD Rachel (almost 14) and see if she wants to join us too.

Hi everyone, I'm Jen....and I'm desperately in need of motivation. I have all the weight loss knowledge I need, and all the tools - I just need to DO it!

This is my first visit to the WISH board...I was led here by my awesome cruise buddies, and can't wait to hang out with everyone and be a "loser"!:banana:

Count me in also. I have been doing good lately but it has really slowed down for me so this is just what i need. We leave for Disney in 2 1/2 weeks so being good for 2 weeks before i go will help keep my in line while on vacation.:thumbsup2

You 10-24-09 cruisers-- I am trying to talk my husband into it. I am seriousing looking into that one. We are going to book in Sept when we are on the member cruise. I love the eastern with the three sea days.

I am soo excited that I found this thread and at just the right time!!! I am ready to get going in losing this weight and what better way to do it than on the dis boards!!! I will PM my weight tomorrow!

luckywife You are not too late. Stay tuned for our new weekly thread for Biggest Loser 5 that will start on Friday and make sure you PM or email your weight to JOANNEL our weight keeper by midnight on Friday.

LittleMissMickey We are not doing buddies for this challenge because the time frame is so short. You are welcome to keep up with your BL 4 buddy if she is continuing or ask on the BL 5 weekly thread for a participant to volunteer to be your buddy. It is acceptable to weight in any day of the week that works for you. As soon as you weigh in report it to the weight keeper or at least remember to report by midnight on Friday. As always if you forget please report as soon as possible. She will use your weight in the weekly tabulations if possible. If you do weigh in on a day besides Friday just be consistent from one week to the next to provide a true one week weight loss number.

Cheryl N. WI Teenagers are welcome to join our challenge. We would love to have Rachel join us. Post #8 on page 1 of this thread is from minniesBFF another teenager. Maybe she and Rachel can encourage each other.

To the KKs (is that for Krazy Kruisers?) you inspired me to make a post on the DCL forum about our challenge. I have a post on the CB I have been bumping up to get the word out to people who don't ever get here to the WISH forum.

If I have missed any other unanswered questions I apologize. If you have any ask away and I will try to reply in a more timely fashion. Molli has our new BL5 clippie ready and I love the colors. I will post it Friday.

And I'm so glad you did. Must admit I have not been to the W.I.S.H. forum before. :rolleyes1 But, if you have room for a big ogre of a guy looking to drop 90lbs by Dec 6 (well that is the goal ;) ) Then count me in if I am not too late.
 
Thanks for much for posting this...just the incentive I need!!! We have a wedding to go to on 5/24 and I need to fit into a great outfit I already own.

Thanks for posting on the cruise boards....or else I would not have seen it!!

The the start I need to get on the road to a heathy lifestyle!!! It will be a bonus for our cruise in October as well!!!

Oooh, I really want to do this but we have a 5 night WDW trip planned next month....not sure if that would be ok? I'm likely to blow anything I would have accomplished. :(
 
happybratpack It is up to you. Our challenge will run until Friday May 23. When is your trip? Getting started now may get you into in the the 'eating healthy' frame of mind and help you not to go overboard with your eating during your trip. Making an effort and really focusing on your eating habits can yield positive results and then on your trip you will work hard not to undo all the good you will do with the challenge. Even so a trip is a time to enjoy some special treats but not a time to eat like a maniac.

You are welcome to join us and just take time off during your trip. Let the weight keeper know when you will be gone so she does not panic when she does not get your weekly weight report. When you return face the music and weigh in again. It may be good or bad but it's important to immediately get back to your weight loss program to get back on track to losing the excess weight.
 
I would love to join in! I was trying to figure out how to get motivated to lose for our cruise this June when I came across this post. Thanks for doing this.

KK stands for Konked Kruisers - it was the name of our October 20 '07 cruise meet group, and part of our nickname for the upcoming October 24 '09 cruise (Bash on the Boat -B.O.B. aka Konked Kruisers 2)

I had never been to the WISH boards before a fellow KKer posted that she was going to do this challenge. I'm glad I found it!
 
Count me in!!! :thumbsup2 I have been working on losing weight since last year and had been doing really well until lately. I am stuck and only have 2 months until our next cruise. So this is great for me to help me finish what I started. I hope I can help inspire others as well.

hi, im going to WDW for a week (for the Minnie Marathon). im using this challenge to keep me mostly focused on eating (mostly ;) ) right and exercising.

Yay! I am so in!:banana: I wanted to join a WISH thread before but never timed it right. This is just perfect as I just ended a six week workout program and had already planned on starting back up on friday! Plus it ends right before we leave for our cruise. I am hoping to actually fit into my clothes again before we go, REALLY don't want to have to buy bigger clothes for the cruise. :scared1: Embarrased to say that I have been living in elastic waist pants for the past year - ugh! Already down ten pounds but it was getting rough to do on my own so I am SO glad this was posted in the cruise forum in tume for me to join in - Thanks!:hug:

I will be there from May 8-13. You're right and I'm ready to join. I can see I was just using the trip as an excuse to postpone again. Thanks for the motivation!
