It's never too late to join the WISH Biggest Loser 5 challenge

I also found you guys on the DCL board. Thanks for giving us the heads up. I am cruising in two months with Sujo and would also love the support of the boards. Count me in!

Okay, I am ready to be a loser. My 40th is fast approaching and I would love to actually have some pictures of me where I am not strategically posed behind my daughters. My husband always jokes that they are my favorite accessories.

Count me in!!! I lurk these boards all the time but usually do not get involved. This challenge may be just the thing I need to keep me motivated. I go on vacation on the May 23rd so this is perfect!!! I am not really sure exactly how this works, but I am sure I will catch on.

I would love to do this! I have been working on my weight and fitness on my own for over a week now and this will just motivate me to try even harder. My name is Mary and I need to lose about 50 pounds :sad1: . I'm happy to be with all of you.

Count me in! We'll be going on our Disney Cruise at the end of June, so this is the perfect time to try to get rid of some of this excess weight!!

Ok, count me in too... we dont leave till this fall, but it sure would be nice to be able to find a few new outfits to take with me! AND fit better into that nice black number I have hanging in the back of the closet for formal night...

First off, I am so very excited. A lot o f"oldies" are rejoining, but there are so many many newbies! This will be a great few weeks!

Would some one explain what the challenges are? I am so afraid of failure ... I need support in helping to get to a healthy weight!

I am the challenge lady for this BL, so if you have any specific questions, please ask. Keep in mind, the challenges are NOT REQUIRED. If you cant do them or can only do some of the task, that is fine. Each week, I will be assigning 5 tasks. One or two of them will be discussions, so you wont have to "do" anything, but think and then type. The other 3 to 4 tasks will be actual tasks. I will give you a little hint for this week, one task will be taking the stairs more often.

I love to join. I have a wedding and a honeymoon in September.
Thanks for organizing this!

Me too! :bride: It is a huge motivator!

Maybe we could make that a new sport??? :goodvibes I am so impressed. Off to WDW this afternoon for a few days with DD for her excellent graduation trip. Hoping I don't gain too much. I will make good choices, I will make good choices;) :thumbsup2 ! Have a good weekend see you all next week.:goodvibes
You will make good choices because you want to. :cheer2:

I'm so glad I found this thread. My Dr. told me recently that he thought I should weight about 120 (I'm 5'4" with a large frame/broad shoulders, so I don't think I can make it quite that small), but I do know I can stand to lose at least 40 lbs.

I recently started watching what I eat more closely and cutting out unnecessary snacks. Hopefully this will be a good kick in the patootie for me.

Is it too late to join? I just stumbled across this thread today...

Sign me up .....

my mom is lynnielou and she's been nudging me to join up, so here I am ...:lmao:

Count me in!

I am going to do something nobody on this thread has done yet - post my weight.
Earlier this year I recorded a peak weight of 382 pounds. As of this morning I am at 339 pounds. In August I will take a family trip to Orlando and I want to be under 300 at that time. In August 2009 I will take a Disney cruise; for that trip I want to be 230 or less so I can fit in my tuxedo.

Do I find it embarassing to post those numbers? I felt humiliated in January when I recorded the first number, but being open and honest helps me to continue the weight loss. Continuing the honesty, a diet is nothing more than a quick fix we dream about with an end result of more weight gain. For me to meet my Aug 2009 goal I cannot diet - I need to change my lifestyle and change how I think about food. After a good start, my body and my subconscious mind are fighting me and I need to force those aspects of myself to comply or all my effort will have been a waste.

Let's do it!

I'm here and I am sooo in!!!!!!! (sitting at computer right now:surfweb: so I'm not at breakfast bar in kitchen, nibbling away...)
