Happy Friday afternoon Js & Ks!! :wave2:

I got a text from Elin this morning as they were in the town car heading to Roswell for the seminar. :thumbsup2

We have a possibility of storms here later this evening -- I hope that doesn't mess with their flight home. :flower3:

Speaking of storms, I had an adventure getting back to ATL last night from St. Louis. :scared1:

I had a 3:20pm (Central time) flight that was already delayed to 4pm when we got to the airport. The plane was making its approach when a violent storm came out of nowhere and after a couple of tries, the plane was diverted to Memphis! :upsidedow

They had us ready to head to the tornado shelters. Lambert-St. Louis Airport still isn't fully repaired from the tornado they had in April 2011. :sad2: It didn't do well in this storm either, several of the "jet-bridges" detached from the high winds!

Eventually (4+ hours later) our plane arrived and we were able to head to ATL! The flight took an extra 45 minutes because we had to fly around the storms. :scared:

So 11pm on a Thursday night, heading home from the airport -- HUGE traffic jam in downtown Atlanta!! :crazy2:

Good to be back home! I had to turn down an opportunity to go to Ft Drum soon because it conflicts with my WDW TRIP!!!! :woohoo:

Wishing you all a great weekend! :goodvibes
Boy that sucks,,, sounds like you were just trying too hard to have fun!

I am glad you are safe and sound at home!

Thanks for the good wishes! Things are going well, and I'm counting down to Wed when I drive thru that arch! My fav part of entering WDW. Always get a thrill driving under. Then you know you've arrived!

Wicked T storm here today.

Whew! What a trip! Enjoy your weekend, too!

Wow Laura, what a day! I'm glad you finally got home safely.

Thanks! :flower3:

It was very stressful -- more so for the many passengers who had connecting flights in ATL. For the 4+ hours this was all taking place, the Delta employee working our gate (a young woman) is probably the reason the chaos didn't erupt into tempers flaring!! ;)

That awesome employee kept us posted on what was going on and always kept a smile on her face. :thumbsup2 At one point she was working 3 delayed flights at her gate! She was re-booking flights at a pace I've never seen! :thumbsup2

I felt worst for the Soldiers who were heading home on leave (6 or 7). They were all spending the night either in St. Louis or Atlanta. None of them were able to make it home last night. :sad1:

No storms here in ATL after all. :thumbsup2 Elin texted a little while ago from the town car. She and her colleagues are on their way to ATL Airport for their flight home tonight. :goodvibes

....*sniff*...:sad1:

 I know just how you feel. If things don't get a whole lot better a whole lot faster, I'm going to be in the "not going to WDW" bunch again in less than a month.

:grouphug: You both really need a WDW trip! I hope things work out for you to go soon Kimmar. Alison oh how I hope and pray that Fran heals and starts to feel better quickly.

Thanks, we see the Rhuematoligist on Monday morning and wound Dr. on Monday afternoon. They ACTUALLY TALKED WITH EACH OTHER!!!!!! last week, so maybe we can have some kind of joint healing where she doesn't Nuclear bomb her immune system and cause MRSA to set in, but she can get a little relief from the symptoms of RA. Maybe then we can reconsider canceling our trip, especially since I am brave enough to dress her wounds!

Good Morning all my J and K friends.....

Hope you are have a great day, we woke up to 63 degrees, it was so nice not being 90 degrees and 90% humidity!

Fall is on its way, I am so excited!

Prayers that all goes well!

Oh no! I thought everything was on the right track?

Say it isnt so.... Not again.... :sad2:

Thanks everyone. Technically nothing is "wrong". She is improving, but not as quickly as the Doctor would like to see. That is one of the reasons that he called her Rhuematologist, he wanted to see if any studies had been done on her as to why the wounds are not closing up quickly. He estimates about a month for the two small ones and two months for the larger ones.

What it comes down to is if she is willing to travel while she still has a couple open sores, and no relief from the RA. Her joints are so stiff that any movement at all is excruciatingly painful. I'm not sure I want to subject her to a plane trip and WDW heat in that sort of condition. We have until September 9 to decide (30 DVC cancellation window).

....tell me about it....BTW, how's Fran doin'?
