It's Never to Soon to go back to Disney: My 1st PTR- Sept. 2009

I love your updates, your lists always remind me of all of the stuff I need to do! :lmao: You are moving right along on your trip preparations!

So glad you decided to read the HP books! They are so worth the time it takes to read them. :thumbsup2

Yes , It is a Catholic Church the only other one nearby is St. John of God in North Cape May so unless she prefers that one then the one down the street here is more than likely the one she goes to. :) I know how you feel about the multi quote thing I felt the same way. lol! It's sounds like your doing well with getting done and not backed up in school while your away that's great!

Yep, she sure does go to St. Raymonds!! Too funny!!! Yeah, I'm trying to stay ahead, but, not sure how long that will last!! :rotfl:

Hi I just read your first page.-have to catch up but..I'm subbing on...have to support a fellow Philadelphian...:yay:

:welcome: Thanks for joining in!!! Glad to see another Philly person here!!! :)

Thanks Kristen!! Glad I can help! :goodvibes Yep, trying to get everything done for the trip, seems like every time I check something off the list, I remember something else that I need to do before we leave!!! Out trips are so close now!!! Too exciting!!! how are your preparations coming along?

I'm glad I decided to read the HP bookks too!!! half way thru the 2nd book now.... With school starting back up, don't think I am going to be able to get thru them as quickly as I did the first!

Hey, I'm sorry about things falling through w/ your old/new job. I'm sure everything will work out for the best. Keep the faith! :goodvibes

Congratulations on your school....you're on the home stretch now, so don't let the finance get you down. You know this already, but if you need help, visit your prof's office hours - that's what they're there for!!

Wow! You have everything planned down to the minute you leave! I feel so behind in planning!

Thanks!!! Definitely trying to keep that faith, but sometimes it sure is hard, but I know things will work out!!! Everything happens for a reason right? :confused3

Yes, I am almost done my MBA, thank goodness, it sure has been tough but hopefully worth the trouble in the end!!! Anything subject dealing with math has always been an issue with me, but I will say that if I take my time and not panic, I can eventually figure things out! :)

Yep, trying to plan eveything out, but who knows if I will actually get things done in time, sort of forgot to factor school work in the mix!! :rotfl: Thinking I might have did that on purpose!! :rotfl: And I am sure you are not far behind in planning!! Did ya see i picked up my glow bracelets?? :yay: Bought the 2 packs that came 6 bracelets to a pack!!

Hey there everyone!! Hope all is well? Geese. can you believe how close everyone is to their trip now!!! I know we are sure excited!! :cool1:

Sorry, I was MIA yesterday, I was planning on doing an update, but I woke up yesterday morning feeling like H-E-L-L!!! Have a head cold or something going on!! Blah!! Been taking Tylenol cold and benadryl and it seems to be helping so that's a good sign! Now I jast have to keep my fingers crossed that Mr. Devon does not get it!!!

So, today was my little guys first day of 2nd grade!!! He was so excited!! I just can not believe how quick he is growing up!! Don't worry, I will give you the full report how his day went and pictures as well tomorrow (I'm sure that you all are just dying to know how his day was! LOL :lmao:)

Anyway, I am pretty on target with getting things done for the trip. I called to make my hair appt for next week and almost had a heart attack b/c the receptionist told me that my stylist is on vaycay that week!! :scared1: Oh course me being the lunatic that I am asked if she could kindly double check when he was coming back into work, and low and behold he will be in on Friday the 18th, so I was able to get in then!! Yes, I no I am a crazy person!! But when I want or need something Im ruthless! :rotfl: I was hoping to get it done earlier then Friday b/c that was when I was planning on doing all my cleaning! Oh, well beggers can't be chosers, so I guess I'll just do my cleaning Thursday instead!!!

Ok, now that I am done rambling on about my hair, back to the planning!!!!! So, one of Devon's favorite thing to do when we are at Epcot is to go to all the KidCot Fun Stops in each country around world showcase... I literally have about 4 masks collecting dust, but the boy won't let me throw them away!! This year, I decided that it would be fun if I taught Devon how to say Thank You to the CM at the stops in each of their country's native language!!! Well, he thought that was the coolest idea ever, and has picked up how to say thank you in almost every country!!!

In case anyone else is interested in doing this, here are the translations:

Mexico- gracias
Germany- Danku Shon (don ka shay)
France- Merci
Uk- Cheers! ( not really thanks, but close enough!)
Norway- Takk
Japan- domo arigato (doh moh ah ree gah tah)
China- xie xie (sheh sheh)
Italy- Grazie
Moracco- shukran

Well that about covers this update of a day and the life of a Disney planning nut! :goodvibes

popcorn::hey-I just read through 1/2 of your TR and I had to comment on a couple of things before I forgot them...:lmao:

I'm glad I'm not the only one that thought the summer around here was kind of stinky weatherwise....:lmao: I mean how much rain can you actually have-June was bit of bust....rain, rain, rain...

Your son is cute and you obviously adore him...:lovestruc

the Halloween letter was too cute...(in fact I may borrow it to use with my son next year...We're going back in October to celebrate my DD's 16th Day and I don't want him to feel left out...(he's 7 now too-8 next year...)

ok back to reading...

what an awesome idea about the different ways of saying thank you. I bet the CM's will be amazed when he replies to them in their language. What a smart cookie you have. Glad to hear you got your hair appt even though it wasnt the ideal time. better than nothing right. Can you believe how fast the time is going. I have so much to do at work but it is already hard to focus. I keep taking little breaks and check the boards. Next week is going to be torture. I cant wait to hear about devons day at school. Hope it went well.

Today I dropped ryan off at pre k and saw a the memo board that said Wed. 9/9 Show and Share day! Bring something in to represent your favorite color. :scared1: Dh never told me this last night. He picks the boys up so I dont see what they write for the end of the day. So we went out to my car and looked in the trunk. He had to choose from a blue plastic flute (he won at a carnival game), or an orange bouncy ball. Wow exciting! poor guy. he choose the flute and seemed proud to show it off. gotta love his age-happy with anything. I just thought I would share the story with you since we were talking about school. It was my ashamed parent moment of the week.

Did ya see i picked up my glow bracelets?? :yay: Bought the 2 packs that came 6 bracelets to a pack!!

I did see! I picked up another cocktail mixer this past weekend for our trip and I'm going to grab a 24 pack of bottled water, but other than that I have everything I need now :cool1: which is awesome

Oh yes we are excited! Every time I start thinking about it I get so anxious.

What a neat idea. I can speak a little French, Spanish, Italian and German so sometimes I'll try to talk to the CM's in World Showcase. The Italian ones are very friendly if you know what I mean! :rotfl: Anyway, everyone seems to appreciate it so I'm sure they'll go nuts when Devon says thank you.

Well I'm glad your still with me!!!! Reading along... I know I can ramble at times!! :rotfl: And yes, what is the deal with the crappy weather... I'm thinking that's why the summer feel like it flew by!

Thanks!!! And yes I love that little boy more then life its self!!! :lovestruc

There is actually a thread (Ohana 90 Letter Gallery) that I went to and had it made on here!!! There are all different letter styles... You should check the link out (posted for you below). The women who does them is so nice... She had the letter made for Devon within a day!!! Highly recommend!!! I'm putting it in the mail for him tomorrow afternoon, that way he should have it by Saturday.

We taught the kids how to say hello before our 2006 trip. The CM's got a huge kick out of it.

I can't believe today was your first day of school. R started second grade Aug 13th!

Yeah I though that it was a good idea, b/c last year when we were at the KidCot stop in Mexico, the boy busted out Gracias!! It was so funny and the CM got a kick out of it and responded to him in spanish...

Oh no!!! Poor Ryan, I swear it must be a man thing, b/c Devon's dad used to do the same thing all the time!!! :lmao: Well thank goodness that you at least had something in the trunk.. Something is better then nothing!

I know, can you blieve how quickly time is passing?!?!?!? I am starting to feel a bit overwhelmed with all the school work I have!!! I literally have been doing school work since I dropped Devon off at school! And it doesn't help that I have to do double the work b/c I have to do all the assignments that I am going to miss while we are away before we leave. Oh well, at least it helps pass the time I guess! :confused3

Great idea to bring the water!!! Wish I could, but I can't carry it on the plane!! :rotfl: And I really don't want to spend the cash to ship it!!!

Our trips seem so close yet so far away!!! I bet next week is going to drag!!!
I hope they appreciate it... We been practicing!!!

I was going to ship some water or use gardner grocer but I only need some water, soda (gotta have pepsi since they dont have it at WDW) and some milk for the room so I think since we are going to be so close to DTD we will go to the Hess station across the street to get this stuff. I saw someone say to bring a carry on suitcase to store the stuff in and to drag it back to your room in. So thats what I will do ;)

Can you pass some of that trip is getting close excitment my way
plzzzzzzz:sad2:

OMG I keep forgetting to call my sons high school to give them a heads up about the trip and to get his work. I bet they are going to LUV this! :rolleyes1

Hey Reese! I can't believe how close our trips are getting! Are you excited yet?

I think thanking the CM's in their native tongue is a GREAT idea! That is so smart, the CM's will get a kick out of that I bet.

I still have a few things to pick up for our trip, but I am on target for everything else. I have been checking on the flight nearly every day :rotfl:
And finally have Princess Chloe's disney wardrobe together. LOL that kid's a nut with how picky she is at the age of 7.

Yeah, you are lucky, SSR is not to far from DTD and the Hess station is right there. We are never in the room anyway, so having food and drinks there really isn't that big of a deal for me, it just would be nice to be have if I wanted it! :lovestruc

You know what, I am so excited, but it's starting to diminish b/c my finance class is really stressing me out!!! I have so much work that I have to do before I leave and to top it off, I am really not understanding some of the concepts, so it's making doing the assignments pretty challenging!!! I think I am going to scream!!!! :scared1:

Yeah, heading to Devon's back to school night tonight where I am going to tell his teacher!!! Yikes!!! This should be good!!!!

I know Abby, how exciting... Only a little over a week to go!!! Woo Hoo!!! :cool1: We are totally excited, but my school work is really putting a damper on my enjoyment!!!

Same here, have a few minor items to grab, but other then that, i'm good to go! :thumbsup2 I have been checking my flight everyday as well... It was suppose to leave PHL at 642p, now it's not leaving till 659p!!! I don't want anymore changes unless the flight is leaving earlier!!! :rotfl: Oh, I have a picky little one too!!! I actaully just showed him on Monday what he was where each day to make sure he was ok with everything!!! Fortunately, I only had to make a few minor changes and he decided on what he was wearing on his feet. He is going to wear sneakers on the plane so I just have to pack he Crocs... Things are coming together slowly but shortly.

My son is hungry the minute he wakes up so we are bringing cereal with us for the monings we don't have breakfast planned so that he can eat that before we head out to the parks.

I think I'm starting to get excited about the trip again! :yay: Do you have a list of your park days on here? I can't remember.

Ughhhh I called the High School and the lady that answered wasn't happy when I said he was going to miss a week of school, she then put me through to my sons counselor's voicemail. :scared: Oh well we'll see what happens next. No changing plans though thats for sure! Tonight is his HS Back to school night also.

Okay Reese... Between you and Adrienne being scared of telling the school you guys are leaving, I am feeling very lucky!!

My kids' school has known since January and they just said have a great time! The office lady keeps asking if she can go too! :rotfl:

Oh, and I think I will PM you my cell number and you can text me when you find out what section you are in... :thumbsup2
