I have been on the disboards for only a few months, but I'm very excited to say IT'S FINALLY MY TURN!!!!!!!!!
My dh - 40, myself - 40, and our five rambunctous teens and preteens leave for Disney World tomorrow! We leave on the
Wonder Thursday!

I have a final question.....of course! LOL!

Do we really really need to take our beach towels. I'm thinking we will need them for our pool at the PO Riverside and I
think I read somewhere on here that the ship provides towels for excursions as you are leaving the boat? It would be one less bag to take. With 7 people we have a TON of luggae and the less we have to take the better.

part B to that question is..... are the towels beach size that they provide? Or just regular hotel size?

I better get back to packing.....

Thanks, you all have been GREAT about answering my endless questions over the past months and weeks and last few days
of sheer panic! :) You all are appreciated!

I can't wait to write and tell my sea tales!
No, no no.......I can wait........that would mean my vacation
would be over.......and I know I won't want it to be!

You don't need to bring towels. We stayed at the PO French Quarter this past summer and we used the towels at the resort. They were bigger than small bath towels (if I remember right) but not beach size. They worked fine

We went on the 7 night Western in Nov. and didn't need towels for Castaway Cay...the towels were provided on the ship. Again, not beach size but plenty big.

Have a great time!

I like regular size beach towels, so we are going to be bringing our own. I plan on putting them in one of those space bags to help save on space.

Have a great trip! Let us know how it was when you get back :D

The towels provided by Disney are small compared to regular beach towels, but you can take as many as you want while sitting poolside. they are in the big teak bins by the pool and they will have them in rolling crates as you leave for shore excursions and castaway cay.

They will also have them in the staging areas (club, lounges) for any water based DCL excursion.

I agree with MJ - we packed them on our first cruise and really didn't need them. Now we just take 2 for each of us at the pool and when we get to castaway key. Works out great. One less thing to pack.

Enjoy WDW and the cruise. Please write up a trip report when you get back. We love to read them!
