Creating a budget, picking out ADRs, trying to predict when I'll be able to book my resort (POR), the works. Is that weird?

umm No! I am thinking about next year too!!! just don't know when.

Nothing?! Not even a ball cap?! I'll even accept a hoodie at this point!

Currently planning for October 23-26, 2016!

Billie when do you think we will be able to book these dates for next year? I'm dying over here waiting. I've read that I can call this far in advance to book a Room only ressie but we want a package so it's no Bueno having to just cancel the RO and book a package later. Hopefully this summer sometime our dates for Oct 2016 will be released. I've also got a nice ADR wishlist going too!!

I'll at least resist the urge to start a PTR until AFTER I get back from this December's trip.

I've read that I can call this far in advance to book a Room only ressie but we want a package so it's no Bueno having to just cancel the RO and book a package later. Hopefully this summer sometime our dates for Oct 2016 will be released. I've also got a nice ADR wishlist going too!!

"The 2016 Walt Disney Travel Company vacation packages will be available to book beginning June 17, 2015 for Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa and June 22, 2015 for Walt Disney World® Resort. These packages will be valid for arrivals Jan. 1-Dec. 31, 2016. Please note the last date of your Client’s vacation can not be booked more than 499 days in the future."

So the answer to your question is: Next Monday!

Nothing yet, girl! But the December park hours posted on 5/11. Today is 6/11. So it stands to reason that it'll be any day now. I'll keep an eye out for them for you!

It sounds funny but I have to book a year out! We have clients that schedule their whole year at the salon and if DH and I want to vacation together we have to look that far in advance I love it though, it gives me a whole year to Plan and obsess!

For me it's a matter of the fact that NOT having a trip to plan and look forward to actually sends me into a deep depression. However, in general I can't afford to go more than once a year... Which means booking a year or so out. As for predicting when I'll be able to go, my only commitment in life is my job, and my boss would rather me put in my leave request as far out as possible. We're only a three-person staff, and if I already have asked for the last week of October, then the other two girls know not to go planning anything for that week next year because I already called dibs. That being said, if things DO change and it turns out that the dates I've chosen now won't work, I have until 45 days prior to check-in to make any changes, or cancel and get my deposit back. So since it's pretty much no-risk, why not go ahead and book and begin planning?

I have seen all these links in people's signatures talking about TR and PTR and never knew what they meant. I saw your post in another thread and decided to click on the link in your signature. I am so happy that I did! While I haven't gotten through all the pages, I look forward to reading through everything! I am going back to Disney after a year in Aug and I am so excited! I have been trying to figure out what to do to pass my time, and may need to start my own PTR! hehe

Hi there, thanks for joining in! As for POR, it's not that it can't accommodate the scooter... I just hate the way that they do it at that resort. But! I'm just taking one short trip in 2016, 3 nights, so I figure I'll stay at POR for that one. It won't be ideal with the bus situation, but I figure I can deal with it better for just a few days rather than a full week. So it's all good!

I'm pumped for the 2016 packages to come out! We'll definitely be booking ours! DH and I are celebrating our 5 year anniversary next year and we wanted to do a mom and dad only trip. Our current love is POFQ, but we're staying at CBR in just a few months so we'll see how we like that too. We would love to splurge on one of the Epcot Resorts but I don't know if I want to spend that kind of money. Decisions, decisions. Only a week away till we can do so.

I have enjoyed the time I spent reading through your PTR, and seems you are a planner just like I am! Although seems everyone around here plans like I do, I have found a home! I am so glad that you got all your ADRs and I do hope you've been enjoying your staycation! I believe I'm going to write my own PTR, even if it is just to clear my own thoughts out! Your PTR has also helped IMMENSELY with planning my trip. So thank you for that! I look forward to reading more! ^_^

I'm pumped for the 2016 packages to come out! We'll definitely be booking ours! DH and I are celebrating our 5 year anniversary next year and we wanted to do a mom and dad only trip. Our current love is POFQ, but we're staying at CBR in just a few months so we'll see how we like that too. We would love to splurge on one of the Epcot Resorts but I don't know if I want to spend that kind of money. Decisions, decisions. Only a week away till we can do so.

I'm looking forward to next Monday so I can lock down my 2016 trip, too! As much as I would dearly love to stay Deluxe (also in an Epcot-area resort for easy access to F&W, thinking Beach Club), since this is supposed to be a "cheap" trip in 2016 because I'm also saving for a newer car (originally it was supposed to be NO trip in 2016, but who am I kidding?), I just can't justify the additional $800 or so to upgrade for a 3-night trip. Someday, though! Until then, it's Values or Moderates for me!
