We went the 2nd and 3rd week of May and it was wonderful.
Weather was great, only rained once, crowds were manageable.
Next time we go, we will go that time of year again.

We always go right around this each year -- right after our schools get out. Be forewarned that it is HOT, HOT, HOT already. This past year, the parks were pretty crowded -- but do-able in the mornings. Memorial Weekend was absolutely CRAZY -- everything within 30 minutes of WDW was completely booked. It rained a little bit in the late afternoons, but these were the typical quick warm weather storms -- over before you knew it. While it's definitely NOT an off-season time to visit any longer, we still enjoy it very much.

Note: The crowdes at the end of July and beginning of August this past summer were much lighter than during our May trip.

That will be over the Memorial Day holiday so I suspect it would be pretty busy. Also, some schools start to let out then and people go right away when school is out. We went this year from May 31 (right after Memorial Day) to June 10. It was pretty busy. If you could possibly go earlier in May, I would think you would be much happier. Of course, if you have children in school that might not be possible.
