It's Going To Be A Jolly Olly Holiday In Disney PTR I've got one foot out the door!!

BBB should be so fun!

It is a lot of fun for her...and she gets so much attention throughout the parks the whole day! Have your girls ever done it?

Day 6 is by far the best day isn't it!?!?! And I don't think the AKV have anything to do with it. It's because you're meeting me and Jen for Spectro, isn't it!?!?!?! LOL I suppose we have to bring the rest of the crew. But for a brief moment I had a picture of three grown woman, but kids at heart, skipping around the MK together!! :lmao:

I'm interested to hear how you like AMV. I am sure it will be beautiful and I head they have an amazing tree in their lobby. Ooo and I can't wait to see Lulu all dolled up in her BBB garb!!

It is a good day! :rolleyes1 You and Jen may have something to do with it??!! Ha! That is a funny thought...maybe not such a bad idea...sometimes I try to "lose" the kids and DH in a crowd! LOL i think we should get a picture taken by the photopass photographer of the three of us doing something funny in front of the castle. Something...thinking...maybe something like the Charlie's Angels type thing?? Any thoughts either of you?

Heck, maybe we will go skipping off - leaving our husbands behind to scratch their heads :rotfl2:

LOL That would be pretty funny! Only Shamus will be able to get paired back up with you...with your matching outfits and all! :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Heck ya Charlie's Angels - there's three of us, it's only natural!

Did I fail to mention my "matching-esque" shirts have been nixed? I'll be lucky if he wears a Disney tee at all!

Yes!!! Charlie's Angel's it is!!! LOL it is only natural!

No Disney shirts at all!?!?!?! BOO!!! Maybe you just have to find his forte. Greg has his Jack t-shirt, which he loves and is actually really cool. Also I bought him a vintage Donald t-shirt which he likes. I have gotten him to agree to matching t's for MVMCP and the jury is still out on the tie-dye Mickey shirts. Since Greg's came out better he told me I could have that one, but then I told him I would make him another and the look on his face was classic. He'll wear it because he's a good sport, bless his heart. Lord knows there is not another man that would choose to put up with me for life!! :rotfl2:

I will have to post what I meant by "matching" shirts... they go together with a general theme, not so much identical. Maybe I will get to it tonight... maybe :sad2:

That is going to be a sweet picture! I totally just reminded myself of Napolian Dynamite!!! LOL

No...you did mention it! I just wanted to bring it up again because it was funny! LOL

Do you know how many people are going to want to get that picture taken after they see ours??!! We should copyright it. I know it has been done before, but we are doing it Disney style!!! :thumbsup2

LOL My DH will not wear them either. He maybe would wear something like a collar shirt with "Disney" embroidered on the chest. But, that's probably as far as it would go. Although, maybe a cool Jack shirt would get past his ridicule. I love the vintage shirts.

Please do!!!

Day 6 sounds like a great day!!! I totally agree with the laundry. We had never done laundry on our disney trip before but last Dec when we went and I got food posioning at AKL, my mom had to wash my clothes and did everyone elses and mentioned that it was kinda nice taking a day to do it to not have to do it when they got home!!

I can't wait to hear what you think of BBB!!!! I can't wait to back in Dec and see all the FGIT :) I talk to a few of them from time to time but miss them like crazy!!!
Is your DD getting the castle package??

Just curious...do you mean a Jack Skellington t-shirt? If so, where did you get it. We just saw the movie last weekend and my DH now loves Jack. :wizard:

Not to hijack your thread or anything... but... I am! I will not be posting pictures tonight, and I will not be posting them tomorrow, nor Friday - then Saturday is Trick-or-Treat, so maybe Sunday! Just wanted to let you know I have scored another overnight! 2 down, 4 go to my goal!!!

See ya on the flip side! :thumbsup2

They have them at the Disney store and they do have some at disneystore.com. I even have one too that I got at the Disney Store. AND the last time we were in Disney the Villains n' Vogue store in DHS had this awesome Jack zip up sweat shirt. It's all black and it has a big Jack face on the front. Well DH debated for what felt like forever on this sweat shirt. I think it was like $60 maybe $70 so he hesitated because it was so much money. Finally I INSISTED that he buy it and he did and it's now his favorite. I'm so disappointed that I did not get one for myself, that it is now my personal mission to find myself a Jack sweat shirt.

Thanks! You know what?? I am a firm believer in when I'm on vacation, I'm on vacation. Normally, I would not walk my laundry over to the laundry room, have to wait for it, fold it, put it away, etc. But, at AKV we will have the facilities in the room and I can load the washer or dryer and walk away for a few hours at least. My normal thought is that I do at least one load of laundry every day. WHat difference does it make if I have 10 when I get home?? LOL I won't do all of it though. I am not losing Disney time to do laundry!!!

We have been to BBB two times before. The first time was in DTD. She got the hair, nails and make-up that time (I don't know the name of each package.) Last time she got the whole deal...Belle. This time she is going with the hair nails and make-up again. She is a bit older and decided against the dress. I bet you do miss your old buds!!

My little guy loves that movie!! He calls it Halloween Before Christmas.

Look online at Disneystore.com. I swear I saw some last night.

Tsk. Tsk. You guys can not stay away from that site can you?? LOL

Ok...we will wait! Glad you got that overnight! Cha Ching!

See you Sunday???

I think I may take a trip to the nearest Disney store (45 minutes away) before we go away. I want to see what kind of deals they have there. I usually can find some good things for decent prices. I need to go there anyway and get some new bras for the trip. TMI?? Sorry!

Yeah...it's looking a bit grim! I am going to make the best of it though! We have been to WDW over July 4th and President's week and Christmas week. So, I am sure we can handle it! I was just hoping to avoid it this trip. Oh well!

We learned the evill credit card lesson the hard way! But, at least we were able to come out on top. Now, we just have to say if we want it...we have to be able to afford it NOW...otherwise, we don't buy it!
i am not too worried about it- i think alot of it is POP and other convention guests that won't be in the parks. Plus if you check expedia, it shows lots of room availability last time someone checked on the boards. other groups/travel groups hold blocks of rooms sometimes and then release them later. so it is hard to tell. But given we are all disney pros, i think we can have a great time, crowded or not. if you work rope drop, EMH, FP etc. you are fine. I worked at the Studios during the holidays and that is crazy crowded, but yes, folks still were having a good time- it is all in the attitude. to be honest though, i don't expect huge crowds, but will be prepared if there are.

Back to expenses and the credit cards. Last week one of the students I have been dealing with lost his father to a heart attack. When his every day teacher went to visit the family, she told me that she brought her daughter. The mom is a single mom now of four. The youngest child is 2 weeks old. She was a stay at home mom and they had no life insurance. They do not have a refrigerator in their home. The teacher's friend did not understand. Her question to her mom was, "Mama, are they poor?" The friend just broke down in tears, because for the first time, her daughter understood that comparatively, they were indeed, very rich and very blessed.

FTR--a refrigerator was anonymously donated to the family. Well, the school took up a collection and got her a great used refrigerator, but it was left on her doorstep with a note that it was hers and that the donators were praying for her.

We really are blessed that we can even take a Disney trip when there are families without the true necessities of life.
omg- what a great story, so sad, but uplifting. you truly have to step back and consider what you have and not what you 'want'. the grass isn't always greener and there is always someone out there that is needy. we are VERY lucky to be able to get to go to WDW and more than once. Many families won't ever be able to afford to go. heck, i don't know how my parents managed with the 3 of us (we did stay in our camper!).

I love day 6 - especially the part about meeting up with your extended family!

Just an FYI - you won't be able to get fastpasses for the guys because you can only get fast passes for tickets that have been scanned/entered through the turnstile. I read on another thread someone went to get Soarin' passes for his fam, but he could only get the FP for himself. A CM told him only "active guests" can get FP.

HTH... :sad2:
interesting, i wasn't aware of that, but it makes total sense i guess. good to know- i always learn something new here!

plans for day 5 and 6 look great. we are doing 50s prime time too and love it! i love the s'mores! and we are also doing HS back to back as well. it just worked out that way since our DIS party is 12/12 and then EMH night is 12/13. so two nights in a row- no biggie.

I agree. I am going to just be over it. Worrying about it was not enough to make me cancel my trip, so why fret, right? I will go with the flow. And, like I said, we have been there during the busiest if holidays, so I think we should be able to handle it!!

Your notice about Expedia made me go over there and snoop around! Now, I have a bit of change in plans that we are considering. I will let all of you in on them if anything comes out of it.

Thanks! We love 50's...it'll be great for you guys with the size of your group! I am fine with doing the parks back to back. We are also doing our last two days in MK back to back.

She loves it! I wasn't sure if she was getting too old, but she wanted to do it, so I made her the appointment. I will put the pix up. She has alsways done the Princess do, maybe thid time she will try the punky looking one?
I think BBB looks so awesome, it's new since the last time I was at WDW and it makes me with I had a little girl so that I would have an excuse to go check it out! :rotfl:

LOL, I LOOK at the online store, but I depise online shopping, so I rarely BUY something online. I hate the hassle of trying to return something I bought online.

Hey everyone! I checked out the expedia rates and could not believe the availability and prices. So, I got curious and went to the WDW website and found there is a lot of availability during the 1st week (not counting the weekends). Also, good rates on some deluxe resorts. I tried to upgrade during the week to Wilderness Lodge for 3 nights and keep my free dining, but the reservation specialist said I would lose free dining during those 3 nights since it was not on my original reservation. I am not sure if this is correct? Anyway, he did add on an extra night of free dining at first. Originally, I was staying at Pop for one night on 11/27 and then starting my package on 11/28 at POR. He cancelled Pop and changed my whole reservation to POR with an extra night of free dining. I am too excited!! I would have loved to stay at WL but maybe next time.

Ohhhh! OK...well as long as you do it next trip! You are doing a TR when you get back though, right?? Make sure you let us all know, because we will join in! (Listen to me speaking for everyone!!)
LOL. Actually, I was thinking about making one after my trip :) Thanks for the encouragment! :thumbsup2

I just read your Day 6 plans. All I can say is you are going to love AKL villas. You are NOT going to want to leave. When you see the room.....OMG!....just wait.....no pictures will ever do it justice. You just have to see it in all its lovely 3 dimensional gloriosity. :lmao:

You have another fun filled, jam packed day. I hope day 7 leaves you some time to visit the pools at Kidani and the Jambo house. Please promise me you will scheduled adequate pool time.

I window shop online a lot myself...don't buy things usually. I don't because I am impatient and want it right away...not wait for shipping. But, I have started giving in lately. I buy a lot of Christmas gifts from Amazon. They sell EVERYTHING!!!!

I know...I am contemplating a few different ideas now! That is not so good when the vacation starts in one month!! LOL I found a Club Level at the Poly for $365!!!

LOL. Actually, I was thinking about making one after my trip :) Thanks for the encouragment! :thumbsup2

Definitely do it and let me know! What are you dates exactly again?

I remembered how much you loved them from your TR!!! I am afraid they are going to have to rip me out of the resort kicking and screaming!! LOL It is one of the most exciting things we are planning for our trip!

We are definitely going to take some time to doo the pool at AKL!!! I want to sit on a lounge chair (drink in hand) and watch the kiddies swim away!!
