i have no idea when the crane will be gone, but i know that guests are complaining about it being in their pictures infront of SSE. i'll keep you posted when i find more things out ;_;. mansion is opening again on sept.12, and the wonders of life pavillion may also be the next thing to go.

Same. My mom was REALLY mad about that. It was my little cousin's first trip and their picture (in front of the castle) had a big crane next to the castle. Some memory, huh.

See, I've heard they're going to replace it with something. It will look really stupid without the wand, or SOMETHING up there.

During our trip, there's going to be a crane behind the Castle, and SSE will be down.

I miss the Cake-ified Cinderella's Castle. When I was 3 we when to Disney and I absolutley LOVED the cake castle. I will never forget walking into the Magic Kingdom screaming, "MOMMY, LOOK AT THE CASTLE! IT'S SOOOO COOL!" That castle came as such a surprise to me. I loved it. And I still miss it.

I don't think it'll look stupid. It had nothing there until wand was put up, and nothing was there for a long time. It'll look how it's supposed to look. I never really saw the point of the wand...I mean it made no sense. Yeah SSE will be down during our trip too, that sucks, it's one of my favorites, especially after a long hot day in EPCOT.

;_; its actually kind of sad. mickey's wand that sits beside spaceship earth is officially coming down. i came into work yesterday and there was a ginormous crane sitting beside it. also, spaceship earth is down until who knows when because the siemen's company is "updating" the ride.

VHAT!?!?!? That structure has been there since the new millenium! How strange!!! I always thought they should turn it into a small outdoor rollercoaster. Hehehe. Then again, sometimes a return to the classics is good.


I'm really really really angry that they are changing Spaceship Earth. LEAVE IT ALONE!!!!!! No interactive, no touchy touchy screen. NO NO NO NO NO! It is a relaxing ride that takes no effort, and you are REALLY able to PAY ATTENTION and appreciate it.
