Yikes! I woked last night at my p/t retail job, and i couldn't believe the ugly moods most people were in! People were swearing , arguing over who was first in line , pushing in front of each other- I wanted to duck behind the jewelry counter and hide:eek: I didn't get home till almost 11:30 because we had to stay and clean up the store:( If you're doing any shopping today and tomorrow, please remember to be pleasant to us poor sales associates (and your fellow shoppers!)

They really are getting bad...I was at Costco yesterday waiting for the chickens to be cooked along withthe rest of the line there...well when they were done most of the people in front of me took two and that was what I was waiting for well when it came to my turn there were only two left so I took my two and the old man behind me started yelling about how I was "&$(#ing " him.....sheshhhhhhhh
And today in Target some lady was walking and another was stopping by a display to look at something and the walking lady huffed "I wish these SOB's would get out of my way".... I turned around and said "merry christmas to you too" and she just glared at me LOL

Sad, isn't it? I am never, ever rude to salespeople - unless they're rude to me first.. Then the gloves come off.. LOL

Much of the problem is people leaving their shopping until the last possible moment - and then being "surprised" that the stores are crowded and they can't find what they're looking for..

Although I realize there are circumstances that arise where people really can't shop till the last minute, probably a good 80% of the people that are out there beng rude and nasty have pretty much caused their own pain..

What's that old saying?

"Poor planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part...."

Hang in there...it's almost over..

Course then you'll have to deal with the "nasties" all over again for the "after Christmas" sales.................

This is why all shopping was finished last week. I refuse to shop for gifts the week of Christmas...it just gets too ugly and then it is hard to remain in the peaceful spirit.

My husband told me last night of one more thing he would like to add to his Christmas list. I politely told him I was not going out into that jungle this week. I asked him repeatly what he wanted weeks ago. I'll just buy it after Christmas.

Forgot to mention - my son-in-law is one of those "poor planners".. He'll be shopping tomorrow afternoon around 3 o'clock.. And yes - he'll get aggravated because there are no parking spots, long lines, and he can't find what he wants.........

No sympathy from me whatsoever - and he had better not arrive here in a grumpy mood tomorrow night!!!

Great saying and it couldn't be more true!

I second the motion of being extra pleasant to sales associates (if they aren't being buttheads themselves) this year.

Seems like we are taking more abuse than ever. I can't believe the number of people that are actually chewing me out because "How dare we" be out of a card/ornament/gift they need right now (HELLO!?!?! - it's 3 days before Christmas!)

Ironic thing is - these are probably the people that came in my store in September and griped saying "Christmas... ALREADY!??!"

See... if you had bought it back then you would have had it! neener neener neener..lol

Oh woe is me! I have to go to Kohls today because I grabbed a sweater (for me :p ) that is the wrong size--and we leave early on the 26th. And I'll have all 3 kids! (Pllus I got DD#2 and DS earmuffs and then grandma got ALL the grandkids earmuffs, so those are going back).
I know what you mean though. DH and I will be wandering around looking for things and some of the people have the biggest frowns on their faces! It's not supposed to be a chore!
I will remember next year that Target is really dropping prices now. I went in at 8AM on Sunday for an hour before church, the place was about empty and there were some good deals. Next year Christmas is on a Saturday so I'll be teaching through Wednesday the 22nd and will have less time to work with.
