It's Friday Night - What's for Dinner?

I have swiss steak in the crockpot, and think I'll whip up some mashed potatos to go with it.

We usually go out on Fri night, or pick up something, but tomorrow night we're dining at Houston's with some friends - gotta save some $! =)

What's cookin' at your place?

Flank steak Florentine (before you get too impressed, I bought it already made at the meat counter, I just bake it), and probably some leftover fried rice.

Tomorrow we are going to a very nice restaurant (the kind with no prices on the menu) and leaving the kids with a friend overnight. I am really looking forward to it.

Because I married a good Catholic boy we'll be having something meatless. If I'm feeling ambitious I'll do some kind of seafood dish. Otherwise he's getting frozen periogies.

I had big plans for crockpot enchiladas today then DH reminds me he is not eating meat on Friday's. I forget because I am not catholic and don't practice this, but he does. I need to call him and ask him to pick up some McD's or something. :)

We usually go out on Friday's but I'm sick so no going out and no cooking for me tonight. (let's have a pity party for me. :earboy2: )

Whatever looks good on the menu at whatever restaurant we end up at.

Tonight is our usual. Dh and I go out somewhere. Well pick up some fast food for the ds.

:confused3

Dh is still sick, and I need to go shopping, not much food in the house. :earseek:

Pork chops, corn on the cob, raspberries and (for DH & DD) broccoli-cheese rice.

DH was going to pick up some burgers on his way home. I just wanted something easy for a Friday night. :)

We were supposed to go to a dinner at our synagogue but DD is still recovering from a cold so we bagged that. I sauteed some thin-cut chicken breasts with onion/garlic/tarragon and white wine. Also grilled some veggies (yellow and green squash, portabella mushroom, snow peas) and made some stuffing and some corn. Quick and easy and I'm sure better than the meal we would have ended up with at the synagogue.

Roasted chicken (already cooked from the store), salad, mashed potato, rolls and for dessert-moose tracks ice cream. Yummy. Another messy, snowy day. Usually we go out on Fridays.

Well tonight is our 10th anniversary and we're having... Captain D's. That's right. DD is sick with a stomach virus so it's take out and stay home tonight. Hey that's what we signed up for. :love2:

Macaroni & Cheese and tuna fish salad. It's Friday in Lent and I'm amazed I remembered!

All your meat dishes sound yummy. Seems I always crave meat on Fridays during Lent, lol. We had french toast and cheese omelets w/o meat as someone else posted earlier. I usually try to make broiled flounder or shrimp but I'm battling a bad chest cold and just didn't feel like going to the grocery tonight. There's always next week.
