Those are the best little yellow tags in the world! :cool1:

June 2nd is our last day of school. The kids will be gone, so teachers will be heavily involved in paperwork. Mounds of it. It will help knowing someone is down there enjoying the magic of Disney World, and that our turn will come again on July 2nd.

You are brave to ride Kali early in the day. We usually ride at the end of our day, because after my hair gets soaking wet and goes all crazy, I've got to get out of sight, lest people become very afraid there is a new park monster on the loose!

LOL, that's hilarious! We all have relatively straight hair around here. Mine can be a little wavy, but nothing crazy. I just plan on wearing it in a ponytail pretty much the ENTIRE trip, haha, then I don't have to worry about how bad it looks. I suppose I'll take my CHI though...just in case I decide not go to the parks looking like I just crawled out of bed :lmao:

Our last day with students is May 24th, and then I believe we have two days after that, so may 26th is the official last day. I am grateful that our state always ends school pretty early, but we go back pretty early too, around August 15-19 usually.

Now, back to the business at hand, our Disney trip!

I've been talking it up to my DH. Like I said in the intro, he'd be satisfied to never go on a vacation, and to take his days off on our couch. He's not a killjoy or anything, but it's hard to get him truly excited about trips (and spending SO much money!)

I rearranged everything so he could go to SWW...I hope he appreciates it! :lovestruc

So now I've got to put together our schedule for each day. I'm not going to plan it minute by minute or anything but I want to have a framework for what we want to do and when-ish.

Our first day is May 31st, but it is a traveling day, so I'm not planning much. Our flight arrives at 2:15 in the afternoon and I'm hoping we'll make it to Pop by 4pm or so. I will arrange to have our grocery delivery around that time. Then I think we'll take an hour or so to get settled in and rest for a bit. Around 5:30 or so we'll head to DTD for dinner...I'm thinking WPE, we LOVED that last time. We'll eat and then stroll around, maybe shop and head back to POP around 8:30. Dump Molly in the bathtub and hopefully we'll all be snug in bed by 10:00 for an early wake up for our first day in the parks the next day!

So Day 1, now it is at Epcot
Park open @ 9:00am, I'm thinking this will be a day to stay in the front half of the park, we'll save World Showcase for our second day in Epcot, so we can dedicate LOTS of time to each country.

Wake up at 7:00am, eat breakfast in the room
Be at the bus by 7:45-8:00
-First head to Soarin' to get a FP, ride if the standby line is 15 minutes or less (Note to self: figure out how to get to Soarin' since we didn't ride it last time)
-Head to Turtle Talk, exploring the aquariums if we get there before 9:30, after Turtle Talk explore the aquariums some more. During this time someone go get Test Track FPs, get them before 10:30.
- Ride the Nemo Ride
- Ride Journey into Imagination with Figment
- Explore ImageWorks
- Check out Captain EO, decide if we want to ride
- If it's after 11:15 head towards France for our 12:00 ADR at Les Chefs De France, if it's before 11:15 use Soarin' FP then head towards France
- Lunch
- Depending on the time, we can explore France, the UK and Canada on the way towards the front
- Head out for afternoon break, grabbing FP for Mission Space and visit Club Cool on the way out for our afternoon break (it will be around 1:00 or 1:30)

Will this be enough time for everything we have planned for the morning? Should I see if I can move our ADR back to 12:30 or so?

- rest/swim/relax for the afternoon
- around 5:30 head back to Epcot for the evening OR head to the food court for dinner then head back to Epcot
- Have a CS dinner somewhere (where is there to eat in the front 1/2 of the park??)
- Do Spaceship Earth
- Use Mission Space FP
- Use Test Track FP
- Do Ellen's Energy Adventure
- If there is time explore Innoventions
- Find a place to view Illuminations (any suggestions for a good location, is it better viewed from World Showcase? In that case I think we'll wait till our world showcase day).
- home for the night!!

i think the morning timeframe seems doable, especially since a couple of your choices are ones where you can spend as much or as little time as you feel like. i think your evening seems ambitious though. if you leave your hotel at 530, it will be close to 630 by the time you are through the gates/ bag check. then dinner and it will be pushing 715. ellen's adventure i think it close to 45 minutes. also, i think illuminations is best viewed from WS

Here's day 2, give me any advice you can give. I've kind of got a hybrid plan between Touring Plans, TGM and my own creation

June 2nd, Hollywood Studios
Wake up at 7:00am, eat breakfast in the room
Be at the bus by 7:45-8:00 (maybe push things off a little since HS is so close to POP)
-Toy Story Mania for FP
-See Voyage of the Little Mermaid
-Do Star Tours or get FP if the line is more than 20 minutes
-Find a snack since lunch is late
-play at Honey I Shrunk the Kids Movie Set
-Do Toy Story Mania
-Check out the Animation Academy and One Man’s Dream
-
-It should be getting close to lunch time, I think?? Lunch at Mama Melrose at 2:30pm
-See Beauty and the Beast
- Do Studio Backlot Tour
-See Lights, Motor, Action
-Do Great Movie Ride
-CS dinner somewhere
-Time to go see Fantasmic?? If we see a late show, then maybe we’ll shop first)
-home for bed

We’re saving Rock N’ Roller Coaster and Tower of Terror (only DH is riding this one, and DH and I both will ride RNRC) for our 2nd day at HS, we’ll also try to catch some other things we might have missed or ended up not being able to fit in day 1, and DH will also do something Star Wars oriented since that will be what we are there for.)

the only thing i noticed on this one was to remember that the show times can limit you. for instance, LMA only shows a couple times a day.

i love the new house! its so modern looking! the tile and backsplash are awesome!

Thanks for the advice.

I had no idea Ellen's adventure was that long, I wonder if it would even be interesting to Molly.

Doing the TP I kind of put together a hybrid of Touring Plans and TGM. I sort of kept in mind the time of the shows, hopefully it will work out. The good thing is that we have two days in Epcot and two days in HS, so anything we miss the first time we can catch the second time *hopefully*.

Thank you!! We LOVE the house. It's not huge, 1600 sq ft, so I wonder if we will outgrow it someday, but if that happens, it happens. It should work for a good, long while.

Trying to figure out how to get from our park to our ADRs when they are at resorts.

June 1st: Whispering Canyon Cafe is at the Wilderness Lodge so we'll go MK to WL by resort bus.

June 3rd: Raglan Road at DTD, is there a bus from AK directly to DTD or would I need to take a bus to the nearest resort and then a bus to DTD?

June 4th: Ohana at the Polynesian. Umm...that's tricky. We'll be coming from Pop. Should we go to MK and then...take the monorail to Poly? Can we take the ferry across the lake...I really don't know, last time we went from Epcot to Poly so we just took the monorail.

June 7th: Kona Cafe also at the Polynesian. It is breakfast, would that effect how I get there? Need suggestions!

We've took a cab from AKL back to CSR last year, and it was very convenient and fairly cheap.

For Kona, take a bus to MK and ride the mono to Poly. If it's running, that is :) I don't know for sure what time that all starts. I would call if I were you.

I also don't know if there is a bus from AK to DTD...not much help, am I?

I will offer this - don't get discouraged if no one is reading your TR! Mine was basically scored by crickets for the first week or so until a DISer with a HUGE following started reading it and recommending it, so I got lucky. With so many TRs to choose from, try to make yours stand out from the others any way you can. My angle is being a self-defeating smart-****, but that might not work for everyone.

We got our holographic luggage tags in the mail yesterday! Now if only I was packing to go to Disney instead of packing everything we own to move.

You'd think since we were moving only 5 miles away from our current home it would be a little easier, but nope, it still stinks. I can't wait to get DONE with all this.

We close this coming Tuesday, so 3 days from now, ACK!! :scared1:

We're planning on moving most of the boxes during the week, and hopefully getting our kitchen, clothing and bathroom stuff there and unpacked before furniture comes in on Saturday...we'll see how it goes.

Cable and internet get turned off here Thursday night I think, and turned on there Friday morning. How will I ever make it 12 hours without cable and internet??? I'm a little pathetic, I know.

Closing is tomorrow, ACK! I can't wait to get settled in so then I can think more about DISNEY!!! we leave in less than a month :-) :-) :woohoo:

Well, we are moved. Hurray! We are so stinking tired, but glad to be here. We've still got a few little things at the other house to get out, and of course we need to clean before our renters move in on Tuesday.

We'll be taking it easy tomorrow to rest up from this wild week, so I'll be on a bit tomorrow to catch up on the TR I'm reading, and maybe to work on another day plan for my trip.

So...it's been a little quiet around here with our move. I've only got two weeks of work left before summer vacation and only 20 days till we leave for Disney!!

I need to get my last 4 park days put together, but I feel like I have NO time for it! I might just have to print the Touring Plans and go straight from them, or throw caution to the wind and do whatever what we feel like. Neither option sounds great

I've changed our park plans a little instead of going to AK on Friday we'll go on Sunday and we'll go to MK on Sunday, so according to touring plans

6/1: Epcot is a best park with a crowd rating of 4.0
6/2: Hollywood Studios is a neutral park with a crowd rating of 5.3
6/3: Magic Kingdom is a best park with a crowd rating of 4.4
6/4: Hollywood Studios is a park to avoid with a crowd rating of 1.6
6/5: Animal Kingdom is a best park with a crowd rating of 5.5
6/6: Epcot is a best park with a crowd level of 1.6
6/7: Magic Kingdom is a park to avoid with a crowd level of 6.6 (this is the only EMH we will visit)

Two weeks from now we'll be enjoying dinner in DTD!! I'm so pumped :cool1:

Today I realized that I hadn't bought Molly any park shoes, so we hot-footed it to Academy and got her some Crocs. We are taking the stroller, but I know she'll want to walk a lot so hopefully those will be comfy shoes for her to wear part of the time.

I also got one of these: http://www.froggtoggs.com/#cooling/

...to cool off. I'm trying it out this week and if it seems to work really well then I'll buy two more.

I need to put together a list of daily shows for each park.

I also need to start packing...

Basically I really need to get organized!

I've been looking at accuweather for our forecast, I know it will likely change since it's the WAY out there forecast, but so far it's predicting rain nearly everyday and temps around 88-90 most days. I guess it could be worse. I wouldn't mind keeping that forecast.

I need to catch up on washing clothes so I can get us packed up before we go.

We are also going out of town this weekend to see my family in TX so I've got a million things to do before Friday night!

So...what was that about 2 weeks?? Now we have 6 days!

Tomorrow is my last day at work, the kids' last day was yesterday. Molly's last day is Friday.

I need to make a packing list in a desperate way!

Molly's presents
travel sized toiletries
toothbrushes/toothpaste
Allergy medicine/pain reliever/tums...just in case
water bottles including new misting water bottle
all the sunscreen I can find
bug spray ??

Ipad charger
rechargeable batteries and charger
camera and extra memory card
hair accessories, brush
nail clippers
first aid kit
frogg togg cooling towel
Cory's hair goo
notebook and several pens
pressed penny money

still need to buy:

What am I missing (aside from the obvious "clothes, undies etc) ??
