I just had to share - I am bursting with excitement!
I have been going through the process of buying a resale. I have been so anxious for it to close and finalize so that I could make a reservation. I had plans to visit in November for Thanksgiving but wanted to cancel my reservations and use my DVC points instead. The entire Re-sale process didn't take all that long - but it seemed like it did. I had it set in my mind that there would be no way on Earth that they would have a room available for my exact dates.
When I received my documents in the mail on Friday saying that we were sent to Disney to be put in the system - I called right away, knowing they would tell me I wasn't in - but I had to anyway. They told me to call back everyday to check the status. I had too much going on Monday - so I called on Tuesday. The gist of it all is that I was in the system - but there was a computer glitch and my points werent correct. I made a comment about how anxious I was to make my 1st reservation. He asked when I was thinking about and I told him and told him I wasn't picky about where I stayed or what kind of room I had - I'd take anything. Lo and behold - he found me a 1 Bedroom at SSR. He even tried calling my guide to have him help - but he wasn't in - so he took it upon himself to put it on hold for 72 hours for me. He told me to call back today and check on the status. I was so surprised when HE called me 1st thing this morning to tell me everything was ready and I could make the reservation. This guy went so far out of his way to help me. It was a great 1st experience with Member Services!
