Its still 8 months away, but who is going to WDW over Thanksgiving this year??? Where are you staying, how long will you be there and where are you having Thanksgiving dinner???

We are staying from November 24- December 1. This will be our first stay that wasnt at a value resort! We will be at the Dolphin!! Cant wait. Last time we went over Thanksgiving we ate at Garden Grill. This year Im going to try for Liberty Tree Tavern or maybe over at WL.

Where is a great place to eat?????

Hi Aimee! We will be arriving in Orlando on Thanksgiving Day and staying through December 4. We aren't going to any of the Disney parks until Sunday. We will be going to Discovery Cove on that Friday and SeaWorld on Saturday. I was just looking at a list of some of the restaurants to see where we may want to go for dinner on Thanksgiving night. We won't be staying on Disney property this trip (actually I have never stayed on Disney property). There are 11 of us total going and we had to agree on a place that was good for all of us, so we are staying at the Hawthorn Suites. But, I am also starting to plan for 2006 by ourselves and I am determined to stay on Disney property that trip!! I would love to hear some ideas of where to eat Thanksgiving dinner as well. Sandra :earsgirl:

We are!!!!!! Haven't decided where to stay yet (WL, AKL, and Poly are good candidates). We stayed at WL last year and it was wonderful. We had dinner at Chef Mickey. It was great and not at all crowded. Maybe we will do LTT this year. Whispering canyon would also be a good choice. WL is decorated so beautifully for the holidays! Might stay concierge if we can swing it$$$.

We are going also!!!!!

We will be there from Nov. 21-29th and are staying at Pop. However, trying to decide if we should upgrade to AKL. We stayed there once and loved it.

I think we will be trying Chef Mickey's for dinner. I think we may avoid the parks that day...

We will be there! Various members of the family will be arriving and staying between 11/20-11/27 or later. Most likely we will all be at the Contemporary. I have no idea yet where dinner will be. In 2002 we had dinner at Artist Point and no one liked it so I think we will be some where else. When we went for Thanksgiving in 1986 I think dinner was at the Living Seas. We have all discovered that Disney is the best place to be for Turkey Day!

We spent last T-giving (Nov 23-28) at WDW staying at All Star Sports. We're going back this T-giving Nov. 20-26 and staying at POR-Alligator Bayou. Haven't made dinner plans yet!

I'll be there! This will be our 4th annual Thanksgiving spent at WDW, dh and I just love the tradition!
we stay at YC concierge every Thanksgiving, this year we will be there from Nov 20 - Dec 5th.

We'll be there! We are arriving on Friday night, Nov. 19 and staying Portofino Bay at US Fri, Sat & Sun, moving to SSR on Mon. for 5 nights then going home on Sat., Nov. 27. We are hoping the foodcourt at SSR will have a nice Thanksgiving dinner to take back to our room.

We are leaning toward LTT for Thanksgiving dinner. Any one had turkey day dinner there???

That's when we usually go, but won't be going then this year (since we've got two weeks in DW coming up). the crowds are low then and the weather is perfect! (Take a jacket though, it does get a little chilly in the evenings.)

We had Thanksgiving dinner at Narcoosee's. It was excellent and we had dinner timed just right so that we were served dessert just before the MK fireworks. It was so perfect.

Have fun to all those going!

We're going Nov 19th to the 27th. Not sure where we're gonna eat at yet. Last time we were there during Thanksgiving, we ate at Crystal Palace. It was beautiful and the food was great. We're staying at Pop Century, my son wants to stay there this time.

Can't wait to see everyone!!! :wave2:

Right now it seems that Liberty Tree Tavern is in the lead on where to eat our Thanksgiving dinner!!! The only bad things is that I planned on avoiding MK on T-day. I heard its insane there. How far out can you book Thanksgiving dinner??? Is it still the same 90 days out?

Cindyscastle-
We stayed at pop century in January are really liked it. We were in the 70's building. The kids loved it there. I loved it there!! Everything is all nice and new. The store is attached to the food court, so it was nice to let the kids go look at stuff while we finished up meals there. Your son will have a blast there!

We will also be there for Thanksgiving- Oct. 9th -16th. (Canadian) Plan on having dinner at LTT-did it last year and it was great.

We'll be there from 11/25-12/1. Staying at BWV. The family has voted for Chef Mickeys for T-Day dinner. Now, that should be interesting. A question for those of you that have done this before....I'm sure the parks are crazy that Thurs. and Fri. and Sat. Any hints on the best parks to be in or should we just avoid MK until Sunday?? Thanks.

We were at WDW on Thanksgiving in 02. We flew in on T-day and went to Epcot. I expected there to be masses and mobs of people. There wasnt. We walked in, and there wasnt a soul in line for Spaceship earth!! We got there about 5:30 and really, I thought it would be more crowded. We had dinner reservations at Garden Grill at the last seating, which was 8pm. We wanted it late incase we had delays getting to Orlando and they need your credit card to hold your spot, and charge you if you dont show. Well, dinner turned into a disaster, but thats another story..lol...

As for the crowds, We go in January and are used to NO crowds. I didnt find Thanksgiving bad at all. Now, we did avoid MK until Monday I think. Or Maybe we hopped over there one night for Spectro. Saturdays are always crazy there, and now with Sunday being EMH, its crowded that day too. We saw more crowds at all the parks over this past Martin Luther King day (never going THAT weekend again) than we did that Thanksgiving trip. We were able to do all of the santas & holiday stories in Epcot, we went to see Osbourne lights, we did MVMCP, we saw most of the tree lightings... It was a great trip and a great time to go. Im excited to get back. I hope the crowds arent bad this year. I know the crowds in general seem to be picking up, but hopefully it will be like it was before!!! Gosh, I cant wait 8 more months!!! lol

We'll be down there and checking into the Pop Century the day after Thanksgiving. Probably will be tired after driving 12 hours, but, come Saturday morning, it's all about the MK and hanging with the Mouse. Anyone wanting to get together at some point the following week can PM me and set something up.

Arriving Thanksgiving morning for 3 days at POR-Magnolia Bend, off to Disney Wonder 4-Day on the 28th, and then back to POR-Alligator Bayou for three more days. We plan to have dinner at 1900 Park Fare, since we have never done this before. Our very first Thanksgiving in the "World". Have done the first week of December before, but never Thanksgiving. Hoping the crowds aren't terribly awful, but I'm sure we'll make do, whatever the case. :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:
