Its early, but who is going for Thanksgiving??

WOW!!
And I thought "I" planned early!! haha
I hope they do have the MVMCP the first Sunday and Tuesday after Thanksgiving. We leave Wednesday so we would pick Tuesday to go. I see thats what you have planned too. I will be so excited when they finally release the party dates!! At least I will be able to plan ONE day!!! We will make our party day our 'resort' day and hang out at the grotto pool and beach at the Dolphin. Waiting for the next 232 days is going to kill me!!! :earseek:

Hello!
Does anyone know the Capacity of MK?
I read on another site that Disney limits sales to 25,000 for the MVMCP - If all 25K sell - How crowed is the park for this event?

1/2 full......

I'm a few day's late catching this thread but...

DH, 2-DD's, DS, DN, his DW and their DD and DS and I are all going Thanksgiving week. Nov. 21st. thru Nov. 28th. Three rooms at ASM. We're a Grand Gathering! :Pinkbounc
I was thinking LTT for Thanksgiving Dinner but worried abt. crowds so, we may try 1900 Park Fare. Had breakfast there on out first trip and it is lovely...

Anyone care to share ideas for Thursday and Friday? I thought of starting a day at a park (not MK) and then DTD for shopping. Anyone know about DTD crowds those days? Funny to have to ask that, because we know if we were home what Walmart would look like! :crowded: :duck:

We will be leaving home on saturday Nov 27th and arriving on November 28th for 8 days. So there for the weekend but eating Thanksgiving dinner at home...:D

Can I ask what the crowds are like from Day after Thanksgiving thru Tuesday after Thanksgiving in the parks? And what is the weather like? We went this past July so I'm trying to relate the crowds to the ones in July. Thanks

From my research - here is what I am basing our Touring Plan on @ this time...

Wed 11/24 - Moderate to Heavy - Increasing thru the PM
Thurs - Turkey Day - Nuts!! No Parks for Us!
Fri - Sat - Sun - Nuts! Parks May Close! I will be using the UG Very Heavy Attendence Touring Plans - Mid Summer Volume!
Mon- Tues - Wed - Light Attendence - Easy Touring!

I plan on monoriting hotel occupancy prior to our trip by using 800 numbers to Orlando/Disney hotels and asking to reserve rooms!

Hi DDreneeT,
We've been several times in November, the weather is usually pretty warm (but we're from the snow belt) and it rarely rains, evenings you may need a light jacket or sweatshirt, shorts or jeans depend on the day... That is typical, however it can get cold!
Checking on a weather web site...Average temp, 67 with average highs and lows between 77-56 degrees, 1.7 inches of rain for the month. (not bad :smooth: )
As far as crowds; Mon - Wed should be smaller crowds gradually increasing as T-Day approaches, Thurs- Sun crowded with thinning on Sunday afternoon, Mon and Tues after, very light crowds. We have been the week after and practically had the park to ourselves! And, since you have been in July, you may consider Thanksgiving crowds easy to deal with. Birnbaums GB relates Thanksgiving attendance to "Average attendance" while Presidents week, Spring break, June - Labor day and Christmas - New Years are "Most Crowded"
I think some planning and a lot of patience will get us thru!
::yes::

OLT2004, For T-Day, I'm going to check out a park in the morning, maybe Epcot (or I've heard MGM was pretty slow last year) and then head elsewhere for the rest of the day... I didn't drive all that way to miss Disney even one day! :goodvibes

This will be our second year in a row for Thanksgiving. We will be there Nov. 23 - Nov. 30 staying @BWV & SSR.

MY family loves going to MVMCP!!!! Can't wait only 200+ days to go!!!!

Is Disney Quest included in a 5 day park hopper plus?
I emailed WDW but I thought I would ask here for a fast answer!

We will be checking into BCV on November 20 by 11:00am and staying until the day after Thanksgiving. We will have that entire Friday to play at either pool or parks b/c our plane doesn't leave until 9pm that night.

Can't wait to get back. We are thinking maybe Boma for T-day dinner. We may venture into MK early on this day, and then hop over to Animal Kingdom. Really thought about LTT for dinner, but my parents are going and I don't think they will be up for the crowds late in the day.

I am starting to worry about the whole planning thing if this new magic hour continues into the fall. Just when we thought we understood Disney's thought process they go and change the rules. Oh, well it makes planning that much more interesting.

See you all there!!:Pinkbounc :bounce:

We'll be at POR from Nov 25th - Dec 5th. Haven't decided on Thanksgiving dinner plans. We will have four first timers with us starting on the 26th so I hope it's not too crowded.
